Constructed with TiCo Hi-Density special-blend carbide, Diablo's 12 in. fine finish blade produces precise cuts and provides 5X longer cutting life. The laser cut heat expansion slots allow the blade to expand and contract during use, keeping the cut true and straight. This blade is excellent for trim work and projects such as building bookcases, cabinets and shelving.

  • TiCo high-density carbide for increased performance and maximum cutting life
  • Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating for protection against heat, gumming and corrosion

I need the following saw blade with a 5/8" arbor hole.

Model # D1280X Internet # 100036926 Store SKU # 636010
Asked by: Anonymous
The blade you're looking for is of good quality materials & should provide you with a good wood material cut. I owned one of these blades, but only for a week because I experienced a problem with rotation out-of-balance as well as a kick-back while a cutting soft fir 2"x4" which resulted in damage to the DeWalt blade guide & a 1/4" nick in the aluminum deck. I believe the blade itself is good, over-all; however the blade I ended up with had to be returned to Home Depot who accepted the return without question. I chose not to replace the blade.

One of the reviews commented that you could not get a 0 cut or bevel because the blade was not 12 inches in diameter. Does this mean I can not get an accurate cut or bevel o my Dewalt miter saw?
Asked by: Curly
No, you will get an accurate cut or bevel on your Dewalt miter saw. Diablo blades are made to the highest standards and because of these standards we offer a limited lifetime warranty. Please contact us at marketing@diablotools.com if you have additional questions.

need a blade to cut furniture grade PVC with a nice finish, will this work ?

Asked by: honky
Hi, Honky - The Diablo D1280X will cut PVC but we recommend using the D1296L or the D1284C. These blades are intended to provide the best finish in composite or PVC material.

HOW ABOUT CROSSCUT ON CEADER SIDING 3/4''

HOW ABOUT CROSSCUT ON CEADER SIDING 3/4''
Asked by: POPS
As cedar is softer than the hardwoods I have been cutting, and the fact that this blade is used exclusively for cross cuts on my miter saw, Id assume it would work very well for 3/4" cedar. It has been cutting through 3" thick Walnut and Maple with no problems.

Does this blade create a glue line rip cut?

Is the cut produced by this blade fine enough to edge glue boards?
Asked by: George
I actually bought this blade for my miter saw. It leaves a super-smooth surface after crosscutting with no tear out. They do make table saw blades that are "glue-line rip" but I am not sure about this particular model although most smooth cut blades will work. Sorry I can't be more help.

I put this blade into my Milwaukee 18v sliding compound miter saw and it cuts like a dream. Nothing ever to complain about with Diablo blades, they outlast and outperform any blade in its class.

As described on the packaging, this blade "cut like a hot knife through butter." I used it for a variety of wood trim, as well as laminate flooring, in a mitre saw. My only complaint is that the laminate floor seemed to dull the blade prematurely. After cutting the laminate, the blade was basically just burning through my wood trim instead of slicing nicely. There is a blade designed for pergo (laminate) flooring, but that was at least 3x the price of this blade, so unless I was doing a whole house it wouldn't have been worth it.

I grabbed two blades off the same rack and didn't check to make sure they were the same. I intended to grab two 60 tooth blades. One cut with this one and I knew something wasn't right. It cut much slower and with more labor than the 60 tooth blade. I knew something was up and stopped to see what was going on. That's when I noticed it was an 80 tooth blade. It was not what I wanted, Home Depot was kind enough to let me return it. All that being said, it did make an extremely nice cut and I am sure that if that was what I needed most it would have been perfect. But I needed a 60 tooth blade because it does a better/faster job with ripping lumber. So while I returned this blade, the blade itself was great. I got two of the 60-tooth blades and they are fantastic. I never buy another kind of blade.

First off, this was the only blade i could find that would fit my el- cheapo miter saw. ( needed 8.5 inch diameter). I also wanted to use this miter saw to cut numerous pieces of aluminum carpet transition strips. Nice smooth cuts without any vibration or kickbacks on the aluminum, even while making 45 degree angle cuts. Made it very safe to use because it is a finish blade. I may leave it in and use it for other wood products later on. Good purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't make it through the first job. 1200 SF laminate. 325 LF pine baseboard. Grooves were not cut into the blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cutting blade, but... The blade cuts beautifully and is very durable. However, I do have one issue. The blade has a 1" arbor. This in itself is not necessarily an issue, but once upon a time one of the "value" incentives used to be that blades came with an adapter to allow it to be used on 5/8" arbor tools as well. Not only did the blade not come with one, but they didn't even sell one in the store.
