Bought 2 of these to cut angle iron. Each blade was good for 2 or 3 cuts before the glazed over. At this rate I would need about 50 of them. I guess you get what you pay for. Waste of time and money.

It is kind of thick for cutting metal most of the time. But it doesn't shatter as easily.
My band saw is much better but slower.
It's not a bad blade, but it isn't the best either.

I bought a new Rigid 14" abrasive chop saw and I bought this blade as an extra. I was cutting 1 1/2" 14 gauge square tube. I had worn the Rigid blade that came with the saw down enough and switched over to this blade. This blade right from the start cut a lot slower than the rigid. After the second cut I made it would not cut on the flat side of the steel without a lot of pressure. I could see it heating up the metal and used different pressures. Once it made it through the flat side, cutting through the vertical sides was almost impossible I thought maybe it was a denser steel so I tried to cut another piece and it did the same thing. It eventually made the cut but it was more melting the steel than cutting.

I purchased this blade for a chop saw and was not able to edit my original review (merc123). Diablo contacted me and let me know this was the wrong blade for a chop saw and they got me set up with the correct blade. That blade was superb and it was completely by error in buying the wrong blade. I have no issues with Diablo blades

I bought 2 blades to cut some mild steel. Each blade made only a few good cuts before the edge fills up and no loinger cuts. The blades retain there size, and have plenty of meat left, but begin to just cause heat and the cut rate slows to less than a 10th the normal speed. I was using metal cutting blades on clean steel in a chop saw. I plan to pick up some dewalt blades from another source to complete my project.
