The bit did a great job. I completed large and small table tops using the bit and it held up well and is still sharp.

Excellent bit, but all these Diablo bits are way too long for the Porter Cable 690 series. (and probably many other routers) The bit has a 1/2" shank and cuts extremely well, what's not to love? I have no problems with its quality and it earns 5 stars. However, the shank is looooooong. The shank extends a solid 3/4" outside the collet before tapering to the blade. First, this is totally unnecessary. Second, this causes the blade tip to extend way, way, way past the base on my Porter 690 series even when the base is adjusted to the lowest possible position. Consequently, here is *no way* to extend the bit to the surface of the stock, then lower the bit the perfect amount for the cut using the router's built-in measuring system. Forget making a 1/4" dado. Or a 1/2" dado if you're using a Porter Cable 690. A (poor) solution is to make a ~3/4" thick jig to elevate the router above the stock and then proceed. I tried this on my router table and launched a piece of 1x4 at about 90 mph across my shop. No injuries, but lesson learned. I'm sure you could do this successfully, but the other work around is far easier: Do not buy this bit and look for one with a drastically shorter shank. Home Depot does not stock them. (Listen up Home Depot!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean cuts I picked this up as Home Depot was close. I did see that it is made by Freud. The difference I cannot see except the plastic case is different. You cannot reuse the case to keep the bit as you can with a Freud product. It cuts very well using popular wood for a face frame. All in all I am pleased with this.
