Answer:
The Hook and Loop disc will not work on the Model# 334 Porter Cable sander. You will need to purchase a 5” PSA sanding disc. If you would like to use a Hook and Loop sanding disc, you can purchase a replacement Hook and Loop backup pad and install it on your sander. The replacement pad for the Porter Cable sanders is Model# 13904, this will fit on your sander and allow it to use Hook and Loop disc.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 257 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Batch?? I have had great success with the Diablo sanding discs in the past, but this last batch has been a problem. The disc stuck well as usual at the beginning, but after 1 minute, it flew off. Tried different discs, same result. Bought new pad for the Ryobi sander....same result. I spoke to a hardware associate at a local Home Depot. He stated that he has heard similar reports recently. March 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sanding pads The sanding pads worked very well on my sander. But what really impressed me, I was able to reach the areas the sander didn't by using the pads by hand. The pad,(once used up) was sturdy enough to fold making it possible to reach corners and edges. Good product. October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected Not sure what you should say about sanding disks. either they work or not. These worked fine, did not load up. Maybe could be a little more aggressive for the grit size. September 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long Lasting, Great Quality These last at least twice as long as the competitor brand. September 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by agressive sanding Have used this brand of disc before and have been quality product! July 14, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Performance From Trusted Brand Product A lot I read bad reviews and it's fun to imagine what people have gotten into that was far more difficut than they expected. Sometimes you can witness the origins of a bad review in real time at the store when the person is standing there with a 12v drill and a 2 1/2" Forstner bit. But in this case the bad reviews are warranted. We buy thousands of 5" Diablo sanding discs every year, but only in 120 Grit and finer. This is the first time I've used the 80 Grit discs and it's also the last. These discs clog up, tear and just fall apart and they do it fast! After going through 15 discs in less than an hour on new, F1F claro walnut I stopped using them and went back to 120 Grit Diablo discs and they performed as I've come to expect. The 80 Grit are just awful. July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well and lasts a good amount of time Diablo 5" Sanding discs quickly remove surface material, are affordable, last a good amount of time between disc changes, and gives a high quality "Furniture Finish". I've been using these discs for many years for making Cabinetry and for sanding the interior walls of our Log Home. I highly recommend this product! March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! great. definitely recommend. Sands with the best of them. Wood or metal. July 26, 2016
