I've been framing, building decks and porches, and doing rehab for around 6 years now and have used any sawblade you think of. Freud Diablo blades are hands down the best around! They're great for fast, clean cuts and will eat through nearly anything you put in front of it! The Demo Deamon saw blades really live up to their name with totally unbeatable wear and durability. I highly recommend these blades to anybody who wants to save money and maximize production. I wont spend my money on any other saw blade!!

This is a very well designed blade with very thin kerf.
It is designed to be used with a circular 5/8 in. arbors spindle or the diamond shaped mounts. If your saw demands a diamond shaped hole in the blade you first have to twist out the center of this blade. Not too hard and I was able to do it with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers.
Note that if you have a saw with the blade on the left, you should mount this with the writing to the inside of the saw. That is to do with the saw, not the blade.
This blade sails through wood very well, the thin kerf has a lot to do with that. The hole left in the wood is just over 2mm wide! I have not had to cut through nails yet, I try to avoid that as much as I can.

I give this blade 5 stars only because I can't give it more! honestly, this is by leaps and bounds the best blade I ever bought. Using a single blade I have completely remodeled 2 houses, built 2 chicken coups, and a pig stye. The blade cuts through, even the toughest of material, like a hot knife through butter. I use it for new construction as well as demo work. I just now pitched a blade I bought in 2011. I replaced it with a brand new one and it performs as flawlessly as the old. I keep this blade on all my saws. I highly recommend it?

I used this blade first for making my vegetable beds extensions and now the blade found great use during my kitchen & bathroom renovation works. The large chunk of old exterior wall with wooden siding and part of the interior wall was removed. I don't know how long the blade will last. Right now after these DIY works blade doesn't show signs of any wear. The blade went smoothly thru all cuttings whether with nails or without.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by holyKal I bought this blade to cut up pallets. I was on my third pallet when I noticed it bogging. I examined the blade and found almost all the teeth had been knocked off going through one nail! The rest of the teeth were destroyed! I took it back to HD and they gave me a replacement. This time I carefully avoided the nails but hit a staple that was hidden and it knocked off two teeth!! A staple! Unbelieveable, a demo blade? Not hardly!

I am not running this blade as a demo blade so I won't speak to that ability. For general purpose framing it is working great. I have this on a DeWalt 7 1/4 worm drive and use it for cutting studs, beams, headers, sheathing, siding, and whatever else I can. I typically make a framing blade last for a year or two by taking care of them so only time will tell how well this one holds up. So far, so good. The wide mouth and relief cuts allow for quick cuts through framing members but are not the cleanest. If you are looking for clean cuts on AC plywood this is not the blade for you but if you just want to chew through material this will do the job just fine.

I've always liked Freud blades and this is no exception. It not only cuts so much easier than my old blade, but it is also noticably quieter and has no 'ringing' like many circular saw blades. Even if you flick it with your finger, the internal dampening slots cut out almost all the sound.
