This was the first time I had worked with Hardie Backer 500 cement board and I was having a terrible time trying to make cuts. I made a trip to Home Depot to see if I could find anything to make the job easier and just happened to walk past the display of 7 1/4" circular saw blades when I saw a Diablo blade that was designed for the exact product I was working with. It was a little expensive, but I was tired of burning up other blades that didn't work at all. Man, was I surprised when I made my first cut, this blade goes through Hardie Backer 500 like butter. I did a complete shower remodel and it's still working as good as it did when I started. If your working with cement board, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these blades, you'll be glade you did!

Innovative design. Works well. No issues. Price was slightly higher than expected, but worth the extra cost.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kclay The Diablo Hardie/Fiber saw blade is a superior product
I cut a lot of James Hardie trim boards, siding, and panels. I've used other products that would last about ten cuts. After ten, it became impossible to get a straight cut.
Living in a rural environment, I can only get this product via the internet. I can get a full years of cutting from the Diablo.
They might be expensive, but they will outlast other brands. It is worth it to me.

I first bought the less expensive $20 blade because I had a small project. After about 5 cuts the blade was fried. I returned to HD to buy this one and it kept on keeping on after another 20 cuts. James Hardie/fiber cement board will tear up anything that is not diamond tipped.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer good blade for a substance that dulls normal blades
Fiber cement board is very rough on saw blades, it is better to cut a line with a razor knife and then break the board to avoid dust and dull blades but it you have to have a very smooth cut then this is a good blade. I have used and worn out two of these blades doing the siding on one house but I was making more cuts that normal around a lot of windows and I change blades the instant I notice any slow down or chipping away the edge with any blade. It is suppose to reduce dust but I haven't noticed that in comparing it to a true diamond saw blade. I just gave it a 4 because of the price and the claim it reduces dust, which it doesn't
