Answer:
Hi, Georgia - The blade thickness for one of the DS0905FG5 is 1.25mm or .05”. With the standard throw on a reciprocating saw at approximately 1” the average cutting capacity for a 9” recip blade will be approximately 7.5”, which should be more than enough to cut a 5” branch

Answer:
Blade is about 3/16 thick material and blade is about 1/2 inch by 9 inches long, it will easily cut a 5 inch branch, i have used on larger than that with no issues, cuts fast and unless you get into metal or concrete it stays sharp a long time even on wet woods.

Based on the photographs of P-C blades, it appears that the blade brands are the same size where they attach to the saw. You can take a P-C blade into the store and compare with these as a double check.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 70 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ridiculous Performance!!! These things will cut thru any branch you can get them around! I trimmed a very large arborvitae in my back yard with ease, even some oak branches. Larger branches take some time to get thru but it makes it thru them eventually every time. This was alot cheaper than a chainsaw and got the job done for me. I highly recommend, they turned my Makita reciprocating saw into a tree monster! April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Good blade for the saw. I have only used it a few times, but it seems to be okay. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pruning blade purchase The blades by the pack are an excellent value when compared to blades purchased individually. Always a good idea to have an extra blade on hand. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT BLADES I needed some specialty blades for some repairs I was making to my 20 year old deck. Decks this old, tend to be quite difficult to saw at times, especially in the area I was working. These saw blades DID THE TRICK. I put them in my sawzall and went to work, and completed my job. It would not have happened if these blades had not worked. They worked perfectly, the price was fair, and I am completely satisfied. I buy all my things at Home Depot, from my mower last year, to my cultivator this year, and everything else I need around my DIY life.I have never been misled by the Home Depot staff. I think Home Depot is the best store in existence, and anything I buy elsewhere, is because Home Depot does not carry that item Home Depot is great and so were the blades! June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best pruning blades I use these blades with my Rigid recip saw to trim and cut up tree limbs on my place. Recently had a storm take down 8 trees and many limbs from standing trees so I have used them a lot. Best blades I have used. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this thing really cuts For those wanting to prune trees and bushes with a Sawzall, these are the blades to get June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Hedges It allows me to get in tight places when I lower hedges. Cuts easy and let's me use a lighter, smaller saw. June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for pruning trees! I was originally using a standard reciprocating saw blade to do pruning, and I was breaking them left and right. I bought these pruning blades and they cut through the trees limbs in no time. Have the right tool for the job sure makes all the difference in the world. Would highly recommend! June 7, 2016
