We are in the long process of reclaiming our yard and the first step, before sodding, was to establish a paved patio in areas where there is too much shade and tree cover for grass to grow. We used "sink cutouts" made of granite that a local granite counter top company was almost giving away and made an extended patio that had a quite a few curves. On top of that, the cutouts were oval shaped so we wanted to have a sinuous pathway to the shed and a place for the grill to hang out. The Dimex edging was chosen because it indicated that it could do both straights and curves and we could spike it into the ground.
When we opened the box, and noted how stiff it was, with no flexibility at all, we thought we were in trouble but we cut the plastic spines and it was perfect. We could flex it into any shape we wished. For our project, the amount of spikes provided were just about two bags short of what we needed, but for more " straight runs" I can see where the number of spikes provided would be enough. We used crushed concrete as our paver base, and the spikes were strong enough to go through the concrete and ground with no problems. For ease of cutting, the spines cut with tin snips pretty good but it was hard on hands that had been exhausted with the other heavy work. However, a hacksaw made short work of both the spines and cutting ends to length.
After we got it completed, we had quite a few granite pieces left, so we purchased some more edging and spikes and are going to extend out the main patio a bit under the eave.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DanTheMan Good product; needs more stakes
Used this paver edging on a pair of 55' serpentine paver sidewalks. Product quality is great. The quantity of stakes were inconsistent from box to box, and quantity was too few. Some boxes had one pack of 8 stakes, some had two packs, and some had no stakes at all. Had to go to a nearby Menards (closer to me than HD) and buy a 20-qty stake bundle for $20 to get by.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Arizona This product is awesome
Anyone can use this product. It is easy to cut, very strong and makes your job look like a pro. I contructed a very long windy path lined with bricks. I used a lot of this edging. The edging keeps the bricks in place. I can roll my wheel barrel over the pavers without them moving.

Nothing flimsy about this product & the spikes they send with the kit are strong as anything. Very impressed with this purchase and quality.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Oldsue Not what I expected
In the past we have used edging which goes along the edge (defining it). This stuff is like 90 deg angle base you set the bricks in. Frustrating to set up and not flexable (and warped so not straight). Not what we wanted.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by IvanL Seriously good paver edging
This stuff is great, very sturdy, secured with spikes that are environmentally friendly and 6" long so they will secure your pavers permanently. I had to use a power tool to cut the tabs that hold the pieces in a straight line, but once those are cut, you can use them to secure a curved installation really precisely. I wish they came with a few extra spikes though, and also a note - you MUST install these BEFORE you put the sand down, and long before the pavers are in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by patio2013 Thank goodness I had these!
So easy to hammer in our hard ground. We used them above the ground for our patio pavers and it was very sturdy guide as we added pavers.
