Answer:
Good Morning,
The general rule for electric heat is to use 10 watts of heat per square foot of space i.e. 1000 watt heater will heat 100 square feet (10’ x 10’) in a standard insulated room. To get an accurate measurement we recommend using a heat loss calculator.

4,800-Watt Electric Enclosed Motor Construction Portable Heater is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but.... Only one problems I personally had was that when I was reading everything about this unit, everything indicated a nema 6-20A plug. When I received the unit it had a nema 6-30A plug.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work Well Ordered 3 units to heat 1100 sqft basement of renivation house with no backup heat source. Sub-freezing temps outside and cold enough to freeze 5 gal water buckets inside. At halfway temp setting, the three units were able to maintain 55-degrees sufficient to temper concrete slab for bonding Gypcrete overlay. BAD: One of original 3 units was defective with fan blade contacting and jammed against heater cool - not good. GOOD: Return was easy and replacement unit works fine, however, this was online available product only and reorder took another week to get delivery.

The unit was plugged in and ran for about an hour, until it shut down. It would not restart when I changed the dial settings. The only way I could get it to restart was take it out into the outdoor cold. When I brought it back in, It would restart, but only for a short time. I tried multiple scenarios on keeping it running, but nothing worked. I have come to the conclusion that the thermostat is defective. I will be taking it back to Home Depot and will upgrade to a better model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Pleased Minimal assembly, My 26' x 30' shop is well insulated but this heater does a great job! It brings the inside temp from 50 degrees F to 60 degrees F in about 10 Minutes with an outside temp of 29 degrees F.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good heater, reasonable price Purchased for my twin garage for some minor winter work. Installed the dedicated line/circuit and the unit worked fine. Only issue is no on/off switch so the you have to turn the knob ( t-stat) off each time you shut down and then reset the temperature. Would recommend it
