Internet # 203568779

The Dimplex 50 in. 2000-Watt Linear Proportional Baseboard Heater has a innovative sleek and compact design. This revolutionary heater has a built-in electronic thermostat with heat proportioning for improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption. Dimplex baseboard heaters are the ideal heating solution for any area of your home.

  • New electronic proportioning thermostat, with CSA-C828 compliant control (+/-0.5oC/1oF), RF transceiver for on-board temperature control and heater-to-heater telegraphing
  • Faster heating of the room than a conventional baseboard due to rapid vertical laminar air flow, directing heat to the ceiling, speeding dispersal of warm air into the center of the room
  • Improved performance and reduced length through use of top heat discharge and new fin design
  • Superior shark-fin blade design on a steel tubular element for improved heat transfer and longer life
  • Discreet styling, reduced length and added versatility of placement provide more options when designing a room
  • Full length automatic overheat reset for safety
  • Optional wall mounted remote control for multi-heater temperature regulation
  • Finish - specially-formulated epoxy/polyester powder coating is environmentally friendly and resists fading and abrasion
  • Heating element - a nickel chromium element is totally enclosed within a steel sheath, providing superior life expectancy and resistance to rust, shark-fin shaped aluminum fins are firmly staked in an upright position to provide directional wicking for top discharge heat transfer
  • Controls and wiring - supplied with an installed electronic proportioning thermostat for CSA- C828 compliant control; an RF transceiver for remote heat control and whole-home temperature syncing, wall mounted remote control for user convenience (optional accessory)
  • Installation - easily removed front caps; knock-outs on both sides of the convector; and pre-stamped mounting holes make installation easy
  • Applications - all residential applications, commercial offices, lobbies, washroom

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Impressive Design Compared to Other Brands This Dimplex unit is quite different than most other hard-wired baseboard heaters. It's a fraction of the size (yet just as effective), much better looking, and has an advanced electronic built-in thermostat. You can even get an optional wall controller that can wirelessly operate a bunch of them. It puts out as much heat as other units of comparable wattage despite being a fraction of the size. It's much more expensive than the competition, but it's worth it because it is so much nicer, better-looking, and according to Dimplex's claims, up to 33% more efficient. It also comes with the electronic thermostat built in, whereas the competition offers mechanical ones that are rarely included and usually must be purchased separately. There are versions of these without the thermostat that are 50% cheaper. These units come in a range of wattages and voltages to suit your needs. If you want adequate heat, you have to determine which model can heat the square footage of the intended space. I deducted one star because of the two units I bought, one was dead from the factory - giving rise to quality control concerns. Still I highly recommend it. It makes competing models look quite antiquated. March 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by 50" baseboard heater while its described at a 2000W unit thats only if you have 240V service which most people lack. At 220 I'm getting about 1700W which means the heater cannot serve the sf noted in the specs. The heater is quiet but there is no OFF switch which is just silly. When I got the heater some of the vanes were out of position or bent which is disappointing. There wasn't much protective material around the heater in the box so obviously it can't take much abuse during shipping. The instructions aren't very detailed or easy to understand and its even more confusing considering the lack of a power switch. March 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Product This is an excellent replacement for traditional baseboard heaters albeit more expensive. This unit is smaller, frees up wall space in room and puts out more heat. . Only negative is it heats ups the wall above heater significantly more than the old baseboaord. December 31, 2013
