Answer:
Hi Annie! If you're standing behind the vacuum cleaner the power pedal is located on the lower left hand side right underneath the hose. it will have a symbol of a circle with a line through it. Hope this helps!

Answer:
Hi Annie, the on/off is actually a pedal, located on the left side on the back of the vacuum.
Take a look at page 6 of the use and care guide, located to the right of the product overview, in the info and guides box on the web product page.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.1 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless piece of garbage This vacuum is totally worthless. It does pick up pet fur but that's about all it picks up. I have all hardwood floors in my house and when I look at the floor after running this vacuum I can't see any difference aside from less fur. On top of that the tools are constantly falling off during the course of running it, it's extremely loud and once you pull the tube out of the body you have to get down on the floor to reattach it. I wouldn't even have spent $10 on this thing had I known. December 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not that great You can only use it for maybe a 1/2 hour before it shuts itself off. When I first got it, it sucked everything up great but after awhile it leaves spots on the carpet. Not worth the money. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best you can get at any price I feel bad for the folks that gave this one star. I have had my vacuum for a year and have never had it turn off on me. They must have been unlucky enough to get defective units. The last person seems illiterate so take that review for what it's worth. This thing has tremendous suction that's why you have to empty the canister a lot. This sucks up EVERYTHING it touches. For those that think it's too much of a bother to empty, just get a vacuum that doesn't work so well. There are 600 dollar v a chums out there that should help you out. August 9, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst vacuum ever I hate this vacuum so much. The canister gets dirt stuck and the belt constantly wants to come off. And if you have cats and cat litter. Grab a broom because this vacuum will not pick it up. Hard wood floors here I come. March 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Vacumm ever! It does not vacumm at all It pushes dirt inside and then outside all the dirt is all over the place once again. I bought it yesterday and I will bring it back today. What a waste of time! I used it on wooden floors. It is also very noisy. April 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ecological saving worth the static dust mess i have had the dirt devil bagless unit UD40275 for two years and use it less often than i should. i have to empty the dust collector at least 4 times in my 1200 sq ft unit primarily carpeted. i am only now having to replace the HEPA filter, and have rinsed out the foam filter sometimes more than once per cleaning. my greatest satisfaction is the HEPA filter and the baglessness! i doubt that there is a way to eliminate the clingy static dust, but do wish your engineers might address it? just saying. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by love this This vac works very well. yes there are a few things you have to clean if you have animals. filters to wash, no big deal. as long as you put it together right, it will work. If it shut off on you it is probably full or filters dirty. that to me is a safety feature. my only problem is I can't get all the screws out to replace fi September 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Vacuum I have oreck vacuum and its very good and belt broke and special order over 3 wks and I decide to buy emgerecy vacuum today. Use first time today and not happy cuz keep hose fell off while i vacuum 5 or more for 15 mins. I gave up and went to bed. I guess I have to use duct tape to keep in during I vacuum. One thing it's nice have wand to clean dashboard or edge. June 18, 2014
