How do I set the code

I have this item and I am not sure hot to set the code since the directions were missing.
Asked by: Michelle
When you install the batteries, a light will flash on the from , then input the 3 digit code you want to use. It will beep to let you know it is set.

I am using this on my back door that opens outward but how do i turn it off if i am using that door

Asked by: chris
Not 100% sure I understand your question, but if you're asking if you can turn it off when you re-enter that door, I don't think you can. Unless you return in less than 15 seconds after you go out the door, you have to listen to the alarm blare in your ear while you input the code to turn it off when you open it again. I don't see a way to disarm it from the opposite side of the door.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't last 1 day! Alarm was loud enough, but after just 1 hour the adhesive on contacts gave up. Which gave us only one choice, remove the alarm. Very dissapointing. Maunfacturer should have allowed for contacts to be screwed to gate as well as "taped". Huge design flaw for an outdoor product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and bad design Although the alarm will probably get me through my pool inspection, I will need to take it down immediately since the adhesive tapes that came on it lasted less than 6 hours holding it on the wall and window and that was without the batteries even being in it. I had to replace all the double sided tape with another product to make it stick.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It is OK Very cheaply made, hard to mount, length of connecting cable is too short and the pin and plate have to hit "exact" for it to work. It got me through pool inspection is all I can say. I would not trust it as a security device.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pointless Once installed on my sliding glass door (required by building code to pass inspection) to the newly constructed pool area the alarm is loud enough to make you aware someone opened the door and entered the pool zone, when you use the 3-digit bypass code that gives you 15 secs to open the door and get outside without triggering the alarm, YOU MUST KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED or the alarm will start going off again after ten seconds. When I reenter the home the there is no way to disengage the alarm and it continues to sound until I close the door again. I can never leave my sliding glass/screen door to my pool area open. The loud sound is very disturbing to my cats and makes me a nervous wreck. ONCE THE BYPASS CODE IS ENTERED AND DOOR IS OPEN --THIS SHOULD BE SOUND FREE AS LONG AS I WANT THE DOOR TO BE OPEN. Everytime I go out the door to swim I have to keep door closed and deal with the loud sound upon reentry into my home. Why not put an on/off switch on it so my door could be left open without sounding off ten seconds later once I am in my pool area? The velcro came off after one week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The alarm does what it says it will. The alarm uses a plunger type actuator instead of a magnetic one. Not an issue in my application but it could be on some doors. There are limited featurs such as a 15 second bypass feature when you want to exit but there is no bypass feature when entering from the outside since the bypass is on the alarm which is attached to the inside of the door. No bypass feature if you want to leave the door open as in the case you have a screen door and are leaving the door open. It will pass inspection but I might want an alarm with more bypass capability if I were to use for extended time. I remove the battery if having a party or multiple in and out trips are required and no childeren in the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price, easy to install, BUT... These alarms are exactly what you need to pass your county inspection. The price is good and they're super easy to install. However, the sticky backing is not reliable! They kept falling off after closing a window! The sticky back just wasn't strong enough if you were going to open the window more than once. I suggest using silicone to keep them up there or they'll wake you up in the middle of the night because they fell off for no reason!! I still recommend this alarm b/c it's cheaper than most, works, and is available at your neighborhood Home Depot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy it only if you need it to last an hour or two As other reviewers have noted, the sensor can only be attached with the double sided tape which gives up any semblance of attachment after an hour or two. You should NOT buy this if you actually want a door alarm to your pool area only if you just want something to pass inspection. I ended up attaching it with hot glue. I guess I'll just scrape it off later
