Customer Reviews

Prova PA9 Powder Coated Steel Wall Bracket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bracket I really like how this handrail bracket looks. Even though it was originally designed to mount to a certain type of handrail, I simply did not use the little piece of metal that came with it. I remove that little piece and bolted the bracket directly to my wooden handrail. Another nice feature, (even though I'm sure it was not designed to do this), is how easy it is to modify the distance from the handrail to the wall. I needed my handrail to be a little closer to the wall than the bracket was designed for. I cut about 3/4 of an inch off of the end of the bracket, drilled the hole a little deeper, and tapped new metric threads deeper into the bracket. I reattached the part of the bracket that connects to the handrail, and voilà! My handrail is now closer to the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy with good design I used this to add a handrail going down to the basement. The the brackets are very sturdy. The distance between the screw holes make it a little difficult to hit the stud, but you can angle the screws in a little. I used #10, 1.5 inch screws. The 2 screws that come in the package are used to attach the bracket to the wooden handrail. If you use the metal handrail, you will not need them. When you order, remember that there are 2 brackets per package.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There ARE enough screws To address a previous review - the two screws provided are for attaching a wood handrail. The three holes for mounting on the wall are meant to be used with user-supplied hardware based on the surface you are attaching to (wood, drywall, concrete, etc.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice part, not enough screws We like the look and it was easy to install with the matching handrail. However in one package are 2 brackets, each brackets has 3 holes for mounting, but only 4 screws are in the packages. Someone needs to learn how to multiply!
