Can I cut it short?

I need a short railing for a loft, can it be shortened to 24in high?
Asked by: JS
If you alter the product it will no longer fall under warranty. I have not tried cutting the product down from the original size, however i do not see why it would not work. but there is no guarantee and it can not be returned if altered.

Customer Reviews

Rome 42 in. Balcony Railing Starter Kit is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stair railing kit It was easy to install. It looks good, but the quality could be a whole lot better. I probably will replace it within a year with something better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice, but not nearly up-to-code Looks nice and good construction of good materials, but needs to have twice as many strands of cable to meet code requirements (not to pass a 4-inch sphere between strands--they are 7 inches apart).
