I have been considering this vanity combo for a while for my bathroom remodel and have read all the previous reviews. I had a few concerns with some of the issues noted by other reviewers, but for what I wanted I could not find anything else that came close to the value of this unit so I went ahead and ordered it.
The combo arrived in about two weeks and came very well packaged and in great condition. Upon opening it my one concern was that the hardware would not be all brushed nickel. All the door/drawer handles were brushed nickel, however, as shown in other reviews, the faucet and drain are chrome. I find this very odd that the manufacturer packaged two different finishes of hardware. Also, it should be noted that the style of the faucet itself is different than the current stock photo shown on Home Depot's website.
On to the installation. I installed this into a bathroom I remodeled so I had already tiled below it. After receiving the unit I measured to check how the existing plumbing would match up with the unit. The opening for the plumbing in the cabinet is VERY small. If you do not modify the cabinet I would suspect that most installations will need to have the water/drain lines relocated, which was the case for me. After relocating the plumbing lines I prepared to mount the frame. Although it seems straightforward, this part was more difficult than I anticipated but after a little struggling I got it mounted and it feels very solid. (Note: I debated on the proper height for the unit and settled on 32" from the floor to vanity top. This puts the sink at the proper height for most people and I'm happy I didn't make the vanity top any higher.) The rest of the installation went in relatively smoothly, EXCEPT for the drain! Having read all the other reviews I didn't expect the drain to fit, which it didn't. As others did, I purchased the Danco push button drain and it went in with no problems and comes in brushed nickel! After this it was just a matter of connecting the water and drain lines and everything was done. With the unit all in I'll say that it looks and fits great, even though the unit it replaced was 6" wider.
Now on to my gripes, the first being that the faucet and drain are chrome, while the handles (and rest of my bathroom) are brushed nickel. This is partially resolved by complaint number two since another drain will need to be purchased because the included drain is not compatible! Lastly, although I plan to put up a tile back splash it would be nice if one was included.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the way the unit looks and the quality of it. It is an exceptional value and provides a very nice modern update to my bathroom. I would highly recommend the product to anyone and hope that the manufacturer fixes a couple of the issues to make it a 5 star product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by AussieLady VERY NICE VANITY BUT MAJOR PROBLEM WITH DRAIN FITTING
The vanity is packed in separate boxes within the main big box, the reason being that each component appears to be provided by a different manufacturer. There is the main cabinet, the natural stone top, the vessel bowl, the faucet with pop-up drain, and a mirror.
Mounting the cabinet on the bathroom wall is a straightforward exercise as there are metal brackets that can be screwed to a stud. Then there are additional screw holes on the left and right of the back of the vanity for extra screws for stability. The hardware for the drawers is screwed inside each drawer and has to be unscrewed and installed on the outside of the drawers â quite straightforward. The hardware for the door comes in a small plastic bag inside the cabinet â watch for it, as it would be easy to not see it and throw it away with the box! If the door and drawers have become out of alignment during shipping (and mine did slightly), there are screw adjustments on the inside of the drawers and door to allow re-alignment up, down, and right or left. The vertical strip of cabinet frame that fills the space between the right hand side of the door and the left hand side of the drawers does not go all the way from the bottom of the cabinet to the top. It is a couple of inches short of the top so there is a gap to the left of the top drawer (see photo). Fortunately it is dark inside the cabinet so the gap is not immediately noticeable, but it bothers me, and I have no idea why the cabinet maker left the gap. I think there should have been better attention to detail.
The natural stone is very attractive in a soft light honey-beige color, with a smooth edge finished on three sides. The fourth side â which goes at the back against the wall -- has not been smoothed off, and as there is no corresponding backsplash piece in this combo, it is possible to see the slightly uneven edge where it butts up against the bathroom wall. Tiling a backsplash solves this problem, but there really should have been a backsplash to match the countertop included.
The faucet is very modern, with smooth operation of the handle. Itâs obviously of very good quality and quite heavy. The pop-up drain presented a big problem during installation because it was not designed for use with the type of vessel sink included in this vanity combo. The vessel sink is like a bowl with a one to one and a half inch âbaseâ, and when the vessel bowl is mounted on top of the natural stone top, and the pop-up drain is dropped into the sink hole, there is not enough thread under the counter top to thread on the provided gasket and coupling to tighten the drain into place. I have attached photos of what I am trying to describe here where you can see the length of the pop-up drain and that it needs at least two more inches of thread. After calling DâVontz, the maker of the supplied pop-drain, we established that the pop-up drain included with the Domani Sicily vanity was actually designed to fit into a regular sink (or even a vessel bowl, but one without a base). The extra thickness added by the base of the vessel bowl was evidently not taken into consideration. My handyman doing the installation is innovative, but after a trip to Home Depot and consultation with the store assistant in the PVC pipe/plumbing department, there was no way to adapt the provided pop-up drain. The only solution ended up being that I had to buy a Pegasus #247660 pop-up drain for $27.00 as itâs the only one that would fit this sink.
Once the correct length pop-up drain was installed, along with the faucet, the plumbing was connected and checked for leaks. The final step for my handyman was to caulk around the base of the vessel bowl. The mirror is easily hung and has good quality fasteners on each corner so you can hang it horizontally (per the picture on the box) or vertically if you prefer. The color of the wood trim on the mirror matches the wood of the vanity cabinet and gives a classy, coordinated look to the guest bathroom.
Iâm very happy with the appearance of this new vanity and mirror, and despite my guest bathroom being somewhat âsouthwestâ in color scheme and wallpaper design, the sleek, modern look of the Sicily vanity combo works surprisingly well.
I am only giving this vanity combo 3 stars because of the lack of backsplash or smoother finish on the back side of the countertop, the gap in the front cabinet facing, and the pop-up drain that does not fit the bowl. If those had not been issues, I would have given it 5 stars. And again, if it was not for the above problems, I would have also recommended the product, however, although most of the comparable vanities are considerably more money, perhaps they donât have the kinds of problems I encountered.

This Sicily vanity combo is just what I was looking for to install in our guest bathroom. We had a much larger vanity there but we actually wanted that one for our master bath. Our guest bath is used a little less so we wanted the more storage in our master. This Sicily vanity is a perfect size for this bath and provides an elegant and sophisticated look for visitors. It took me alone a total of three days to remove the existing vanity, do some drywall repair, touch up paint, and install this new vanity. It is not difficult to install but I would recommend for the average homeowner the assistance of a professional. The instructions provided are clear and concise.
I chose not to undertake the rather large chore of rerouting and changing the height of my current plumbing as a result the vanity sits a little bit higher than the standard. I actually find this more appropriate especially for adults as there is no more hunching over. The other thing I had to do to accommodate this was drill through the bottom of the cabinet carcass to allow the passage of the drain pipe and water lines. I don't think I sacrificed any aesthetics in doing so as I kept the holes needed clean and simple. In respect to the plumbing package provided with this vanity combo the one negative I have is with the pop-up drain assembly stem. It is too short to go through the vessel bowl and the counter top while still providing enough threaded area to attach the rubber gasket, washer, and lock nut. Once through the sink and counter there was barely enough threads to just screw the lock nut to but certainly not enough for the much needed gasket and washer. I ended up buying a different, much longer threaded stem, vessel pop-up drain assembly to make it all work.
This vanity uses nice euro style hinges for the door and allows for easy adjustment. The drawers use high quality full extension ball-bearing roller slides. I feel that almost everything in this vanity package is quality and was built to last. Even the cabinet carcass, even though it's laminated strand board, is still heavy duty and solidly constructed. The counter top is a nice, thick slab of travertine, and the vessel is a heavy duty porcelain. The only other thing I would like to see offered in this package is the ability to select hardware finishes (i.e. brushed nickel, etc.). My current setup is all brushed nickel finishes and this is only available in polished chrome. It's not a deal breaker and I don't think it's necessarily worth investing in new polished chrome bath accessories but would've really appreciated having that option. I feel that almost all bath hardware these days does give those finish options.
You will see in my attached review pictures towel rings attached to the vanity. These are not part of the Sicily vanity package but is hardware from my previous setup. These however can be found online or in store from Home Depot.
A freight company was used for shipping as this unit is heavy and comes in one oversized box. The shipper notified me of my delivery date and time window in advanced but that day came and went with no delivery or correspondence. I contacted them the next business day and was told that they had some personnel shortages and therefore my shipment was delayed. It was rescheduled for delivery almost a week later than original and arrived on time on the new date.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Toby Excellent Vanity combo purchase to upgrade the small half bathroom.
This vanity combo was combined with Travertine floor and walls, coordinating with the vanity top. Must check with the store prior to verify the drain tube that was shorter that expected, the tube was exchange by another that fitted as expected.

First of all - this piece is gorgeous and we get tons of compliments on it, definitely a great HD find. The travertine top is stunning and the cabinet itself is very high quality. I love the faucet too, so smooth and easy to use. The biggest advantage is that the sink is offset so you gain a decent amount of counter space. It makes our tiny bathroom feel larger!
Installation was not for your average DIYer - we ended up hiring a plumber to move water lines and still made three trips back to HD to get all the right pieces for moving the drain line.
We did have two significant issues with the product. FIrst of all the sink is NOT partially recessed in the stone top as the picture shows. Secondly, we had big issues with the drain assembly - it simply didn't fit with the pieces provided. Of course, being creative we made it work (with no leaks!) but not as designed.
We hung it fairly high on the wall since we are both tall and are working on the creative under cabinet solution now. Having the option to purchase an identical cabinet section would be ideal, but it simply doesn't exist.
