Rated 4 out of 5Â by RobLaw Just what I needed
I wanted an LED flashlight that uses AA batteries. I mostly use it for dog-walking in the evenings, so I don't need a compact beam. It's bright enough, and the switch is easy to use with gloved hands. I haven't run the first set of batteries out yet so I can't comment on the run time. I've probably got about five hours on it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by thebighash Good quality & good value
I bought this 32 Lumen - 3AA 4 LED Carabineer Flashlight a few months ago to keep in a bedside drawer.. I've used it on a few occasions and I feel it is good for home use.
It has a good grip and feels sturdy. It is also waterproof so there's no reason to think this would not work well outdoors.
It throws a somehow wide beam that cannot be adjusted. The beam appears to be closer to a doughnut shape than uniform, but it's still good for home use and in case of power outages.
I have a Coast HP314 with 1132 lumens for more serious use :)

I was pleasantly surprised that such a small, inexpensive flashlight has such a bright light. It's just what I need at the office.
