Answer:
Uses four C sized batteries which come with the light. It is not rechargeable as it comes. Better to just change batteries in the field that find and electrical outlet

Answer:
According to the MSDS, this product uses AA Alkaline batteries and according to the information in the product details the manufacturer states that they are included. This seems to imply that they are replaceable but not rechargeable.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Not to heavy The light is amazing! Better than any other spot light that I have bought befere June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding light I purchased this Dorcy handheld spotlight to replace an older and less water resistant Dorcy spot that I have been using for several years. This new light is smaller and easier to store, has longer battery life and is brighter that all of my other spots, including those that plug into a 12 volt outlet. This new light is compact in size and light in weight so it is great for hiking or storage on a small boat. The beam can be adjusted from a tight spot to a flood light mode, and it can be switched to several power levels as well as a strobe. I am completely satisfied with this light and would highly recommend it. December 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Spotlight I was pleasantly surprised that there are 3 brilliance levels by pressing the trigger multiple times. The first time is maximum and successive trigger lowers the brightness to save battery. Also, I found that by rotating a sleeve on the light case the coverage can be continuously adjusted from sharp spot to wide angel light. Didn't know all this from advertisements. I have had the spotlight for 2+ months and no problems. Still on the included batteries and should last a long time. The 3 C-size batteries are easily accessible. It is not a rechargeable system which is fine with me. My experience with rechargeable lithium is they don't last but a couple years and are much more expensive to replace. You have to like the pistol grip spot light though. November 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PRETTY GOOD FOR THE MONEY A lot smaller than I had wanted, but it seems to perform almost as good as the larger spot light I used to own by Dorcy. This one requires 4 regular alkaline size C batteries, NOT rechargeable batteries. (Batteries are included). Good item for women, because it's small and light weight. I was surprised to find that I like the zoom feature of the light. December 8, 2015
