Answer:
I wouldn't recommend it. AC drain lines are not always as securely glued as sewer lines so it may end up leaking inside the building somewhere. This is not the kind of chemical I'd want lingering in my walls or attic.

Answer:
The label on the back of the bottle reads: DO NOT USE WITH PLUNGER OR IN TOILETS. Find more solutions at Drano.com. At first I didn;t see the small print and used it in a toilet. It did not unclog the drain.

I have been using this product for many years and two years ago I had to have my septic tank pumped. When the technician opened the tank he commented on how healthy our system was so I would say the use of this had no detrimental effect on our system.

1 Gal. Max Gel Clog Remover is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Drain Cleaner I do not know why but I have been unable to get free flowing drains with any other product including the other Draino products. Perhaps it is the various products my wife uses that makes the drains hard to clean. The Max Gel Clog Remover has been excellent in freeing up the drains so there is no back up. If I let it go a little two long I may have to treat twice but again this product has worked where all others have failed.

This product did not work for me after three attempts, or 90 or so minutes work... It actually becomes a big chemical mess... It says on the front "Clears Total Blockages Guaranteed or Its Free" .... But you cant just take it back to Home Depot to get your money bacck... You have to go through a whole thing with filling out a form and mailing with the receipt and all that.. Looks like it works for some but not others like, so good luck....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing results Despite all of the commercial claims using a whole gallon of the Drano Max gel clog remover did not clear the clog. The subsequent result was myhabit 2 spend more money to rent motorized drain auger. Needless to say I was very disappointed with my results!!!

Product is great, and will definitely clear most clogs, but it's not a miracle worker. If there's a lot of hair or other debris you might need to get in there and clean it out yourself. Make sure to pay attention to what type of drains it is for.

Tried other brands that did not work, one even said let stand for 8 hours and did not work. Used the Drano as a last resort before digging up paved drivewar and it worked. The pipe is still clear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gel Clog Remover I have always use Drano for my clogged sinks, however, this time the basement sink was compacted. Drano could not handle this job; a plumber had to be called to snake the drain. I will still continue to use Drano.
