This kit is good for up to medium drain clogs. I have always had good luck with drain snakes in the past, but I found that the snake provided was not able to get past the clog without me feeling like it might snap off in there. However, the liquid itself did end up eating through the clog and I was then able to fit the snake in and get some gunk out! Afterwards the drain works brand spankin' new! The loss of a star is only for the snake. It might work well for you, though!

Nice clean drains in my kitchen sink. The city water here in Northern Florida runs very Hard. The Drano Snake Plus that I ordered made a quick fix of my clogged of (what I'm sure my room mate was pouring grease down the drain!) kitchen sink. With new piping and sinks, one wouldn't expect a stopped up sink but it does happen. That's when you need to go to Home Depot and pick up a box of the great working product "Drano". Has always been in my life and I'm sure it's here to stay. thanks Home depot and Drano for supplying such a good product.
As with ALL Chemicals please read directions and don't splash on your skin or eyes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gowe BETTER THAN MY PLUNGER
This kit includes a 23 inch snake and concentrated gel. It is a simple one time use product. The instructions are very clear and are on the outside of the box. It was very easy to use and did a better job of clearing my bathroom sink drain than my plunger does. Be advised that the snake is a bit flimsy but it does the job. After use, you dispose of it anyway. The price is very reasonable as well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AlisoninTX Drano Product is Effective, Narrow Snake Not as Helpful
The Drano clog removing product is very helpful for simple clogs - I used this for a bathroom sink that was slow to drain. The narrow, 18-inch-long snake tool didn't help so much in my situation, but seems like it could work to grab/help loosen clog debris like hair. The Drano worked very effectively, eliminating the clog problem on the first use. I would recommend it and would use it again.

It's a Drano which is the only product I use and prefer. It's safe to use with metal and plastic pipes. Comes with a 18" snake which makes it easy to loosen the gunk and makes way for the gel to do the rest.
Note that the snake is just 18" so don't expect it to penetrate anything further and the package is for one time use.
No more clogged drains. :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MaciekPL87 Did the trick.
After baking soda, two gallons of vinegar and 2 big pots of boiling water didn't budge the shower drain I purchased some snakes, took some stuff out but couldn't get through all the bends. I went in bought a plunger and this, plunger couldn't tackle it and snake included with nice length couldn't reach the culprit maxing out the length. I waited for the old water to drain slowly and filled in the drain with liquid. While waiting I boiled a large pot of water and in 30 minutes let it go down the drain. At first nothing, but then it cleared up! Highly recommended for intense clogs under $6.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MsDonna60 Bye Bye Slow Drain!
Drano is such a well known brand name, I felt safe in trying this kit. Hair is the shower drain can produce very slow draining that is frustrating. Using the handy flexible snake it was pretty simple to remove a good portion of hair, don't be mistaken this is not a " professional tool" but it gets the job done well enough. Afterwards, pour the drano and letting it work it's magic. For the price and ease of use, not calling someone in to handle the drain makes it a winner for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jimbo clog free in minutes without plunging
I really needed this product about 2 weeks ago as our bathroom sink and bath tub drains were both clogged completely. After about a half hour of plunging with a Home Depot power plunger I did manage to free the drains but I was exhausted from the workout. The bathroom sink still seemed to be slow to drain so I figured it would be a good time now to give this product a try. Rather then that workout I tried the last time. The snake tool in this kit is flexible and easily fit into the drain opening even with the safety catcher that is not removable in the opening of our drain. Upon pulling the snake out it was apparent that it broke loose alot of hair etc. pretty gross stuff yuck. I then poured the gel down the drain slowly as directed and then let it set for half of an hour. I ran hot water then for about 5 minutes in the sink and no backup of drain at all.. And upon turning off the water the best sound of thanks bellowed up from the drain. That deep low empty suction sound that drains make when you know they are clear. Tnank you SC Johnson. Your Drano Snake Plus tool and Gel kit does the trick. And saved me another unwanted workout.
