My sink had about an inch of standing water that I could not get out with my plunger, so poured Drano Max gel into the drain through the standing water, and after two applications it cleared the clogged drain. I would purchase this product again as it was easy and safe to use, and saved me a call to the plumber. Well worth a trying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The real deal After trying a plunger, a snake and another drain cleaner I gave up hope and thought that I'd have to take the pipe apart. As a last resort I tried Drano Gel and poured the whole bottle into the sink. I left for 10 minutes and came back and it was still sitting there. I gave up hope and went away. 20 minutes later, I came back and the gel was gone, I couldn't believe it! I poured a kettle of boiling down for good measure and the water drained perfectly. I was so excited that I went out and bought 2 other bottles for 2 other slow drains in my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It worked!!! I had a nasty clog in my bathroom sink. No matter how hard I plunged I just couldn't fix it. There was this smelly black sludge coming up every time I plunged. So the next day after work I stopped by Home Depot. I was surveying all of the available products and a plumber stopped me. He said that none of these liquids worked well and that they were bad for pipes. Boy, am I glad I ignored him. I started off with half a bottle and waited 30 minutes. Nothing. I poured in the second half of the bottle and waited another 30 minutes. Still nothing. All of the gel seemed to be stuck at the top of the sink. I resigned myself to the fact that I would probably need a plumber but I picked up my little hand plunger again and went to work, careful not to splash any of this dangerous product around. Again, nothing. Bummed out, I turned off the bathroom lights and left assuming that it just wasn't fixable, at least not by me. A little while later I went back into the bathroom having forgotten something that I left in there and sure enough the sink was completely empty. Woo hoo! Just be aware that you may need to give it more time than what is recommended on the label.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! Used this product today on bathroom sink as water took 20 minutes to drain out. I only purchased this from Home Depot as it was a money back guarantee and expected to return it as I was skeptical about it doing as advertised. Followed the directions and the blockage was gone. Thanks for an effective product and huge timesaver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product worked as advertised. I had a problem with slow running drains in the bathroom, both the sink and the bathtub. Both had plastic drain piping so I did not want to use one of the dry products due to the heat generated. Drano has a good reputation so I decided to try it. It worked as described and both drains have been running fine for the past 6 weeks or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All clear! I have used this product all over my house -- sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs. It simply works. Pour half the bottle down the drain, give it 15 minutes, and then flush with hot water.
