We had a clog toilet drain. The store associate suggested to try this product first before calling professional plumber. It worked, took about 2 days to clean up the drain. Thanks Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaveF Finally a Toilet Bowl PLug Clearer
MOST drain cleaners specifically say NOT for Toilet use. This one includes toilets. I usually follow directions (add and flush, then don't use for specified time), but then add an additional little (2-4 oz) amount into the bowl with OUT flushing. Cleans out junk in drains and get things flowing for longer.

Twice I tried this as directed except I used 1/4 bottle (The 64 ounce bottle is marked in 1/4 increments.) each time instead of 10 ounces in a bathroom sink with a slow drain. There was no change in the slow drain.

Drano once again proved to be king in our household for slow drains and the occasional clogged drain. I always try and use less than the prescribed amount, as I'm never really certain exactly how septic-safe these products are, but it's done a good job.
As with most caustic chemical cleaners, there will be an odor in the bathroom after use, but it's minimal and easily managed.
Typical Drano product - good, predictable, delivers as promised.

I can't speak for any other type of clog other than hair in the shower for this product. That is what i used it for and it is far cheaper and more productive than getting a plumber to the house to snake the drain. I already knew it was a hair issue and this product took care of it quickly. I followed the directions and it only took a little to get the job done, so I have more to use in the future.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by reb277 A gallon of prevention is worth...
Despite the title, this is presented as a clog preventer more so than a clog remover. The basic instructions require a 'start-up' treatment of 10 oz, then regular monthly treatments of 2 oz for each drain being treated. This is a logical product for commercial buildings, less so (in my opinion) for your normal family home... where most folks wait til there's a problem (e.g., clogged drain) rather than taking preventive measures.

I have used a number of different products and of the four drain I first treated this actually cleared the clog. One drain was clogged badly and required two applications but I really like this out of all the products I have used in the past!

I live in an older house and I've noticed over the last year the drains have been a little slow. One of the showers would have some standing water after running for a few minutes and a tub was slow to drain.
This product is a "2-in-1" in that a larger concentration (10oz) can be used to handle initial clogs and a maintenance dose (2oz) can be used to prevent future clogs.
Dosing is simple: Run hot water for 1 minute, pour 10oz into the drain, and run about 2 cups of water. I did my application in the evening and didn't run the shower again until the following night.
The shower that was having standing water is not anymore. The tub that drained slow drains a little quicker.
In fairness I didn't have major clogs but they probably would have been if I hadn't treated them with this product when I did. I'm pleased with the result and definitely will keep using this product.
I gave 4 of 5 because unlike some of the stronger Drano products this one basically has to sit overnight to work but as I mentioned it does work as a clog remover & preventative so it also has a little more utility.
