Like any door project - it's not the door it's the prep of the wall. You need absolute solid and plum walls and you need to take into account the clearance on the bottom for the weather seal

Yes - you can install this yourself as long as you know a few things:
1) Is the wall it is being mounted on nice a straight - If not, you have to make adjustments
2) What is behind the sheet rock on your wall - it can't be a hollow wall. You will need a beam or a reinforcement behind the sheet rock. DO NOT mount this on a hollow wall with anchors

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water, water everywhere In what world is this door wide enough to not allow water to spray out all over the bathroom floor? I had my new (WaterSense, not especially powerful) showerhead pushed all the way back (and it's about seven feet up), and the water still sprayed out. Also, when you open the door to get out of the shower, all of the water from the edge of the tub inside the door spills out onto the floor. This door is for show only, as I will have to buy a shower curtain/rod to prevent a small flood everyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly satisfied. We are happy with this shower door. We wanted a glass door that would allow the light from the window on the tub wall to come through. We have been using is for about 6 months and have had no trouble with it. We squeegee it off after every shower and it stays clean. The price was good for what it is. We love that there is no track above or below. It hinges about 6-12 inches away from tub (would go further if not for the toilet) and about 3 inches in toward the tub before it feels tight. We have a toddler and don't have any trouble reaching the faucets from outside the tub. We use a rain shower head which causes the water to go more directly down rather than out. This helps keep the water contained. we get a bit of over spray about 6 inches beyond the door on the side of the tub, but nothing significant. We just use a bath mat on the floor to catch any over spray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Install Replaced an existing shower door made in Italy that shattered due to harmonics and was very expensive!. This door has better hardware and design. I replaced it myself with a little help from spouse to hold it in place while marking for holes to drill to attach to tile ( by the way if attaching to tile get the proper drills for tile, they have a spade shape to them. not included or quoted in instructions.). I 'm very happy with features my other door didn't have such as towel rack and this door has better water .seals. Easy to keep clean with as shower squeegee after each use. And of course the price is right!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted The door has worked out very well. Installation was straightforward, but I would recommend it only for a person who knows their way around tools and house installation. The unit is heavy and you will need assistance at certain points. I had a technical issue due to how I was installing it (not as prescribed) and a call to Dreamline had a technical person calling back within 24 hours and spending a significant amount of time on the phone with me going through various options. Most helpful. A very nice addition to the tub in looks and convenience. One small caveat: Even though the door was hung at the correct height, the nylon seal gets a bit stiff when dry making the door difficult to move until the surface is wet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Replaced shower curtain with this door in a 1.5 bathroom 1920's home with severe space constraints. Delivery went well: package was uncrated by shipping service prior to home delivery. Installation went smoothly per contractor, using bolts that would support up to 600lbs. Door pivots smoothly, even clearing ADA height toilet located next to it. Opted to place door do that it would not pivot towards tub, only outwards to prevent possible faucet contact and breakage. Very minimal outside splash from rain head shower head. Door seals work well 3 months in, did add a petroleum jelly coating to the bottom seal. So far no mildew issues, door and seals are wiped down after each shower as a precaution. Time will tell if seals age well. Door looks good and brightens overall bathroom while not interfering with tub use.

Had our doubts about this door because of splash-out issue and the ability of hinges to hold up the glass door. Installation took a while. There is some wiggle room attaching the hinges to the glass that can compensate for out of plumb wall and swing of door. We beefed up the screws and anchors. Drilling holes in the procelain tile was difficult even with a diamond drill bit. Put tape over drill site to eliminate chipping. There wan't a stud where we were putting the hinges, but Dreamline said that installing onto tile/backerboard would be sufficient. We are happy with the end result. Looks very modern and there hasn't been much problem with splashing. Door opens wide enough to turn faucet on. Would probably drip on floor if you open door to get out of shower. We kept a pretty, gauze curtain to soften the look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from such a sleek look! The style and look of this shower door is just what I wanted in my remodeled bathroom. The clear glass makes the room look bigger. If I could make 1 change I would make the door a little wider to keep the splashing onto the floor less....It's not bad but it's more than I would like. With it being a guest bath I don't have to be concerned about it too often. My only problem was that the hinges were not included and it took over a month for them to get to us. We opened the box at Home Depot to make sure the glass wasn't damaged in any way but didn't think to look for the parts...I advise you to check everything before leaving the store!
