Why does the enigma x weigh more than the enigma z?

They are the same size and the enigma z has more hardware but enigma x weighs more.

Mike, I have done some research, and the weights listed on the Home Depot web page are incorrect. The Enigma-Z tub door actually weighs 5 lbs. less than the Enigma-X tub door. The Enigma-X weighs 155 lbs and the Enigma-Z tub door weighs 150 lbs. The Enigma-Z hardware may have more of a presence, but the moving panel glass is not as tall. with just 1 sliding door, whether the slider is on the right or left, dont you get wet just when turning on the water and getting in

hol, if your situation allows it, we would recommend that you place your sliding panel on the same side as your shower controls and shower head. There is the possibility that you could get wet when turning on the shower, but it is unlikely as your shower head sprays outward, not directly downward. shay, Yes, the guide block must be drilled into your tub for the Enigma-Z. This is a very sizable door with heavy glass and the guide block must be screwed down to insure a secure installation.
