Customer Questions & Answers

Is one part of the shower not moving?

How to regulate the water temperature without coming in to the shower?
Asked by: Inna
Inna, Yes, one panel on this door is stationary and does not move. The moving panel can be placed on the side of your shower that has the shower head and controls for ease of reach. Are the upper, sides, and bottom tracks easy to clean?

I know there are frameless sliding door options, but I've seen some framed sliding doors where the door itself isn't framed, looks like this one.. But I would like to see pictures of the inside of the frame (while you're in the shower), I'm wondering if the tracks are hard to clean, since I have an old one that I would like to replace. It's filled with build up, and it's so hard to clean and maintain.
Asked by: CuriousBuyer
The entire shower door, tracks and the glass clean great. The glass stays crystal clear. Lovin it!

Can door open from left to right?

When standing outside of the shower and facing the shower door, we need for the door to slide from left to right. Can it be configured to do that?
Asked by: Frank
Yes, it is seated on the right hand side, the handle is as shown above, and the door pushes to the left. left to open, right to close.

This shower door will work for a 55" to 60" opening IF you can do some simple math and calculate how far to move the rolling door stops on the top and bottom rails. The instructions are not very clear if you plan on making the left side shower door the sliding door as I did. It is important when cutting the top and bottom rails in step 2 of the instructions to remember to cut from the right end of the rail and not the left end as shown in the installation instructions (only when left side shower door is the rolling door).

If I had followed them I would have ruined the shower door. When I called the manufacturer I was told they couldn't keep up with the updates and I would need to download the new manual online. The components are of poor quality. The brushed nickel finish is so thin that it came off in two places when I was cleaning the trim after the installation. The design of the door makes it extremely hard to seal. I am concerned about leaks. I am going to let Home Depot know that in my opinion they should not offer this product for sale. I certainly expected more from a $500 shower door. Makes me wonder what the $200 ones are like.

I chose this door because it was one of the best looking doors for the price. The door has been installed for 18 months now. It is used occasionally as it is in the guest bathroom. The four pieces of hardware that hold the four rollers are made of plastic. One of mine just broke. I thought it was a bit strange that this piece was made of plastic since it holds the heavy door on. Anyway, I thought it was a fluke until I came across someone else who experienced the same issue. In the QUESTIONS section, someone is asking how to order a new piece of hardware as theirs broke too. It seems none of the shower door specs divulge whether they have plastic or metal roller hardware. Just beware that even with minimal use, the roller hardware can fail.

This is an amazing door. One side stays close which is great no worry of a small opening and water or cold air coming in. Secondly, the door opens quiet on very substantial rollers, not oversized, but well made and quiet. The glass stays extremely clean and now you can see the inside of a very beautiful shower with tile to the ceiling and it is lovely to look at, great door. Well made, functions high and 5 stars from me!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to install, exposed screws This was difficult to install (a pain according to my handymen). There doesnt seem to be any caps for screws which are exposed to water which means sooner than later they will have a problem. From inside shower the track is completely open and looks somewhat ugly. Unlike most of other shower doors, the glass does not have any protective coat so it water spots easily. The door so far slides ok though it is slightly wobbly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Ended up buying two of these. The first one, when the installer picked up the sliding door to install it,the glass just shattered. Home Depot and Dreamlike took it back and we reordered the same door. The second door was installed by the same installer and we are very satisfied with Dreamline and Home Depot. The door is very very nice and looks great. Buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shower doors Was the perfect item for my project. My walls were slight out of plumb and the remodel I did for the 72 high showers are perfect. My wife likes the doors since they are a chrome finish and matched the rondec profiles I used in conjunction with the doors. Would recommend them. Easy to install and instructions were clear.

Make sure you use clear caulk to seal the entire frame for no leakage. Nice doors
