Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Door & Awesome Tech/Product Support Team I really wanted brushed nickel finish but opted for chrome to match with the shower assembly. I was completely surprised that it looks great and high-end, and works perfect. It completes and beautifies my new basement shower. If you want to save the installation cost by doing it yourself, I would recommend you do the followings: TAKE TIME and fight the urge of rushing. Don't underestimate the simplicity of the instructions. In my case, the instruction manual was not for the door that I ordered. I got and printed out the right one from DreamLine website. Read and fully UNDERSTAND each and every step. You can review the instructions while waiting for the door be delivered. By the way, there are 4 packages (door, stationary panel, wall & glass profiles, and all hardwares). All small hardware packages are numbered which make it easy for checking the delivered parts on the Diagrams A and B. Have adult helper who is patient and not teenager. Cover you work area with rubber mats, cardboard or drop cloth while ensuring no tripping hazards. Door and stationary panel are NOT same height. If you don't want to do a lot of adjusting the stationary panel then use the 5/8" flat piece of wood for marking up hinge drill holes. This part is critical to achieve professional look and functionality by having the door and panel leveled and even at the top. I didn't have 5/8" piece of wood, so I used ad leveled a 3/4" piece of wood on the top of shower curb and compensated the diffence by using a 3/8" x 3/4" x 11"piece of beveled ceramic which is same as the curb tile to support the panel. It blends in well and is almost unnoticeable. Place the level where the hinges to be installed, level and draw few straight lines. This helps when you plumb and level the door for marking up drill holes. Triple check this step so you only drill once. Follow step 4 on page 7 (OPTIONAL) to prevent ruining the hinge finish. Step 12 on page 11, it's extremely difficult to press the anti water trip on the panel virtical edge by hand. I used a piece of wood and mallet to lightly tapped the strip into the edge. If you have any questions, call the technical & product support #. I called total 4 times before and after intallation. All my calls were answered within few rings and to my satisfaction. Use corded drill for ceramic drilling - most labor intensive part of installation. Be careful with torque setting. I stripped two hinge screws - not fun. Cover all hinge surface areas with duct tape where they can be scratched by screw and drill bit. Good luck and please take time do it right the first time, and you will be rewarded with many years of enjoyment. June 19, 2015
