This shower door makes the shower look like it should have when we had our custom home built. The only deduction in the entire product is the difficulty in installation. It is definitely a two man job and at least one of the two better be skilled! Once installed, it looks great! I have not replaced my plumbing yet but the door is just what we wanted.

The first door we received glass panel shattered. Home Depot had to reorder for us and my contractor waited twice in the store for over 45 minutes being told it had not arrived which it had. Finally got it installed and are having problems with leakage around the sweep. Contractor is still working on it. It does look great but be sure you have a pro install. Instructions for installation are very complicated.

Dreamline makes some very nice shower doors. This is my second one and the fit and finish on both is outstanding. The thickness of the glass is luxurious. What isn't outstanding are the instructions. They are worse than awful, lots of tiny confusing pictures with little explanation. Lot's of parts that are labeled but good luck finding them in the pictures. Having said all of that, I had little trouble mounting the doors, as all of the major components were fairly clear. This is not a job I would recommend to a first timer though. The door has no leveling adjustments, so if your walls, or shower bottom are not perfectly straight, you will need to know make the adjustments manually. The end result is worth it however.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bluecat57 Looks great - NOT easy install
It looks great! Very happy once it was installed but tough for a diy project. It is very heavy and getting the holes drilled in the ceramic tile and everything lined up just right was frustrating for a first timer but we went slowly (very slowly) and it eventually came together and everything was level. We made minor scratches on the hinges when installing the screws because limited access (warned about in the instructions) but they don't show from a distance.

This shower door is beautiful and very high quality. The installation is tedious especially if it's a retrofit but well worth it. The door is heavy and it really finishes off our new tiled shower perfectly.

I bought this to replace a builders grade framed door (45-46"). My shower walls were not plumb, the opening was not even, and this Dreamliner model is designed very well to handle all of that.
For mounting the hinges, I found it more workable to deviate from the instructions (2 people holding a door steady, level, aligned, etc...not real easy and seemed prone to error). With an out of plumb issue, on the top hinge, and the top 2 screws, I used a tape measure and level. Drill the pilot holes the full distance into wood (the factory screws will strip heads if the hole is too tight to thread, and I also put a brace in the wall from my closet side wall since the studs did not line up). I started the top 2 screws into the pilot holes. I used a plumb bob (hanging from those 2 screws) to mark and check each hole after that (verifying alignment with a level). After marking the holes, pilot and pre-thread the holes (using the screws) before hanging the door. Put the hinges back together before hanging, and use blue painters tape on the flat surface of the hinges for protection from your screws and drill when mounting (if you do not, you will scratch the cosmetic surface of the hinges).
For setting door gaps and checking them in final adjustments, examine seals to ensure good contact.
When not using the shower, I recommend leaving the door open -- this will avoid the wall seals from taking a permanent set in the closed position ( so they flex and seal better).

This came out looking great- excellent quality hardware and glass- but only after we hired two professionals. The first pro we hired gave up, and the second one was also stumped but persisted, after calls to the manufacturer. $400.00 installation fee for two units. We were going to install it ourselves, as the description says it is easy. It is not a DYI project, and we have above-average skills. We haven't used it long enough to comment on reliability.
