This is a thin, small cut-off wheel I use for modifying/kit-bashing HO scale buildings and rolling stock. I primarily use it on thin plastic walls and shells. It melts through the stock at medium and high speeds - so some sanding is required. I also use it to cut small brass, aluminum, and steel pipe and rods. It also can be used to sand the ends of these metal pieces. The wheel cuts/sands well when used on small projects. Because the wheel is so thin, it will break easily (shatter) if you are not careful when setting the tool down. I have not had a problem with the wheel shattering while cutting, but when they become worn I replace them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RedFiftySix Just what I needed
Being someone that uses my Dremel almost daily, I know that I can come to HD and get exactly what I need. I've even started to build up an inventory because the prices are reasonable.
Thanks for being a constant 'go to' for me!

This is an excellent accessory to my Dremmel rotary tool. Just what you need to cut small metal objects, such as protruding nails or screws, cut wire fence, etc.

These are a standard Dremel item with many uses. When used properly in an appropriate application they are indispensible. Well worth the practice it takes to use properly.

Used to cut PVC and other plastics with no issues. Haven't tried on metal or wood. Expensive at $6 however.

I have a diamond cut-off wheel, but the diamond coating wears away with use. I still need these disposable cut-off wheels to replace worn ones.
