I'll start by saying that oscillating tools are an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone that works with wood, for tradesmen, or anyone doing renos. How humans went without these tools for so long is shocking, as they are so very functional and versatile. If you're thinking about getting a tool like this for yourself or someone else, you won't be sorry, just buy it.
I bought this as part of a "special buy", good price for a 3.0 amp oscillating tool. I had been shopping around and comparing models, and for the price the unit itself definitely delivers. If anything it might be a little TOO powerful, I have to keep the unit dialed down to between 2 and 4 if I'm doing any flush cuts or it buzzes like crazy and jumps all over the place. For those of you thinking that more is better - in a mitre or table saw, sure. But in multi tools, 2 amps is more than enough.
The tool-less system works great BUT one huge problem is that the selection of accessories is very limited at this point. Really only dremel and rockwell make "notched out" blades that will fit. The tool-less system is a solid shaft that comes down when you open the handle, the accessory fits around the shaft and then you clamp it back up. So any accessory with a complete circle and no opening will not work.
Hopefully more manufacturers jump on board in the future, but as it stands right now don't buy this with the expectation that you'll be able to fit whatever you want on it. The rockwell X2 one you can, dremel you cannot.

I bought this tool a few weeks ago and used to remove old mortar out of joints between cinder blocks in my garage. It was a several days work and I have spent a few Dremel grout blades on that, though the tool survived. It seems to be powerful enough and robust for any job a house can offer.
Handle is comfortable, tool does not overheat, it is hard to wish anything else.
1. The "On/Off" button began to stuck from the very first day. I can disable it, but have a hard time enabling it. I am not sure what is the reason for that - maybe some dust got under it, and it means the tool is not good for dusty environment, but then what is it good for?
2. My garage is quite big and I was working with the tool for several days. I still feel a slight pain in my thumb where it joins the palm. Several days of non-stop oscillation can do some harm to your hands.
3. Some dust particles can get inside the tool while you are working, and if you need to change slight the angle of the tool or rotate it - the ventilator inside can project those particles right in your eyes - make sure you wear protective glasses.
So far I am happy with the tool and the biggest disappointment is "On/off" button. I can't believe that it was designed that badly. I need to struggle with it every time I need to turn on my Dremel.

I bought this to replace a different model. The MM45 is definitely more powerful and the oscillations cover a larger arc which makes cutting much faster. In cutting metal or wood, it never bogs down. I especially like the tool-less blade change feature. So far I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this tool.
