CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good tool but bad accessory selection I'll start by saying that oscillating tools are an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone that works with wood, for tradesmen, or anyone doing renos. How humans went without these tools for so long is shocking, as they are so very functional and versatile. If you're thinking about getting a tool like this for yourself or someone else, you won't be sorry, just buy it. I bought this as part of a "special buy", good price for a 3.0 amp oscillating tool. I had been shopping around and comparing models, and for the price the unit itself definitely delivers. If anything it might be a little TOO powerful, I have to keep the unit dialed down to between 2 and 4 if I'm doing any flush cuts or it buzzes like crazy and jumps all over the place. For those of you thinking that more is better - in a mitre or table saw, sure. But in multi tools, 2 amps is more than enough. The tool-less system works great BUT one huge problem is that the selection of accessories is very limited at this point. Really only dremel and rockwell make "notched out" blades that will fit. The tool-less system is a solid shaft that comes down when you open the handle, the accessory fits around the shaft and then you clamp it back up. So any accessory with a complete circle and no opening will not work. Hopefully more manufacturers jump on board in the future, but as it stands right now don't buy this with the expectation that you'll be able to fit whatever you want on it. The rockwell X2 one you can, dremel you cannot. November 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The multi speed is very handy Used on several wood projects and was almost vibration free and cut faster than the old one. June 2, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dremel band is over-rated and over-priced In general, this Dremel tool is okay, but it is over-priced and over-rated. Also, if you buy this tool be forewarned that you will be spending a lot of money on replacement blades and accessories. I've used the tool a few times to cut the door jambs in my house in preparation for installing a laminate floor. The blades that came with the kit became dull after a few uses (the teeth had worn out to a flat surface like a putty knife blade). I had bought the Dremel carbide replacement blade for around $20.00 and that wore out also. I don't mind getting replacement blades but Dremel's blades are expensive and low quality. Since you'll probably have to replace the blades often and if you have to depend on Dremel brand parts, expect to dish out a lot of money. I've noticed other brand blades are half or three-quarter the price of the Dremel brand. If I could do it over I would buy another brand, maybe a Porter Cable, which seems to be better rated and is less expensive and their replacement parts/ accessories are also less expensive. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great time saving tool! Used this tool for sanding & repairing wood rot around my house and it works great; easy to use and makes the job a snap - highly recommend the MM45! May 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Happy I Purchased This Tool I bought this tool kit today to help me remove some half brick pavers and grout in my utility room. We are adding on to our utility room and I need to extend the brick pavers. I also bought the 1/8" grout accessory which worked great. The Dremel tool had a lot of power, was easy to handle and helped me get the job done in less than 3 hours which is half the time I thought it would take. It was very precise and enabled me to remove the half bricks without damaging any of the full pavers. I am very glad I bought it and look forward to finding other jobs I can use it on. August 6, 2013
