I'll start by saying that oscillating tools are an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone that works with wood, for tradesmen, or anyone doing renos. How humans went without these tools for so long is shocking, as they are so very functional and versatile. If you're thinking about getting a tool like this for yourself or someone else, you won't be sorry, just buy it.
I bought this as part of a "special buy", good price for a 3.0 amp oscillating tool. I had been shopping around and comparing models, and for the price the unit itself definitely delivers. If anything it might be a little TOO powerful, I have to keep the unit dialed down to between 2 and 4 if I'm doing any flush cuts or it buzzes like crazy and jumps all over the place. For those of you thinking that more is better - in a mitre or table saw, sure. But in multi tools, 2 amps is more than enough.
The tool-less system works great BUT one huge problem is that the selection of accessories is very limited at this point. Really only dremel and rockwell make "notched out" blades that will fit. The tool-less system is a solid shaft that comes down when you open the handle, the accessory fits around the shaft and then you clamp it back up. So any accessory with a complete circle and no opening will not work.
Hopefully more manufacturers jump on board in the future, but as it stands right now don't buy this with the expectation that you'll be able to fit whatever you want on it. The rockwell X2 one you can, dremel you cannot.

I bought this to replace a different model. The MM45 is definitely more powerful and the oscillations cover a larger arc which makes cutting much faster. In cutting metal or wood, it never bogs down. I especially like the tool-less blade change feature. So far I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this tool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eddie Dremel MM45-1 great tool.
First time used was the big comparision. I used other products but the quick tool change was the best. Less bouncing or walking when cutting materials, smoother and quiet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dwight Should have bought this a long time ago
When buying tools, this one is probably not on the list of ones to buy first. But, you might want to rethink that, especially if doing home re-modeling. Since buying this tool, Ihave used it several times and it really saves a lot of time and aggrivation in it's ability to get into tight spaces other tools can't do as easily as this one. It's been great in drywall work, especially cutting nice neat holes for outlets and switches. Cutting under door frames, using the metal cutting blade to slice through hard to get nails. With a nice assortment of blades, and popwerful amperage motor there is not much this tool can't do in those tight spots where other tools are too big.
