Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible experience with this product... I bought this thing in March or April and I have had so many issues with it. I sent it back to dremel because of a faulty switch and then they send me back another remanufactured one, which is alright in most cases but it had horrid chatter issues with its locking mechanism and surprise surprise the thing just quit on me again. I don't use this thing a great deal but I use it enough to say that it is one of the work horses of my craft and I'm just dissapointed beyond measure. My father had one of these things from back in the 70s-80s and it still works like a charm but this thing can't even last a year.... It really makes me doubt this company and new products it puts out. I was really considering buying a 3D printer and micro dremel from this company but now I am really having doubts on this brand. Don't waste your money on this product and don't rush into buying anything new from dremel because you might end up getting burned.... December 30, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by So So I bought this one and like others after six months it stopped working. I noticed it stopped a couple time before the complete stop almost like it had a short. I will from now on look at reviews before buying for this one seems to have a lot more problems then other style Dremels December 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing Only used the tool 3-4 times and it stopped working in the middle of a project. I turned the device off and set it down to begin using a hand sander and when I went to use the Dremel 4200 for the next stage of the project it would not turn on. I paid the extra money for what I thought would be a quality product - very disappointing. December 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work correctly out of the box! I was excited to get this tool and went to turn it on and nothing... Then I went to roll it over, it took off and cut my thumb. I found out the hard way if you apply pressure, when slider is in the on location, to the underside brush cap it will start. If you take presure off it stops. I guess I should be thankful I didn't have it in my lap at the time. --Michael December 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Onreliable This is my second Dremel in 4 years. The first one failed after 12 months and I was able to have the stator rewound. It then work fine for another ~2year and failed again. I decided to purchase a newer model, this one has just failed today (12 months old) Not obvious reason upon pulling it apart. Must be in the electronic speed control. They both only have light work, maybe 10 minutes a week. Will never purchase another. I need tools that last. December 16, 2014
