Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Spinweb Buy a lot of blades, you'll need them. Might pickup some gloves because of the HEAT
I bought this to trim some laminate flooring under T-bar molding as my floors started warping because of high humidity this year in the Texas Panhandle. The tool fit the job to a T. However after cutting 1 foot, it was smoke city, it set off my smoke detector. At this point, the tool started to get very HOT and I wondered if the smoke was the motor or the blade. It took a 15 min break and a fan for the smoke. elapsed time of 45mins for 3 feet of laminate.
I did buy some more blades, because I feel I'm invested and blades are cheaper than buying a whole new rig, but its adding up fast.
They need a better blade design. or a value pack at a serious discount per blade.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by thebighash a great saw for sure!
The Dremel 6A Saw Max Tool is a very handy tool that can be used to cut different types of material.
Size & Design:
The size and weight of this saw are reasonable and allow handling with ease. The tool is well designed and fits in your hand like a glove. This allows you to cut with confidence.
This saw is corded (runs on 110V) and the cord length is approx 6ft. The tool is powerful enough for most home projects.
The tool feels sturdy and of good quality. It comes with a 2 year warranty which gives me more confidence and assurance. I have had it for a few days only and I cannot comment on its durability.
My first test of this saw was to cut an opening in drywall (check the pics). I used the "Wood & Plastic" disc and cutting was a breeze. It produced an unbelievable amount of dust, whereas a cleaner job could’ve been performed using a manual jab saw / drywall saw. Of course this was just a test so it doesn’t matter, but something to keep in mind if you plan to cut through drywall in a furnished home.
What’s in the box:
Having received this through the Seeds program, my saw came without a case for storage/transportation. I also received only two wheels: one for metal and one for wood/plastic. I received no other accessories.

Brought it home, put in blade, plugged it in, try it on the thinnest wall board you've ever seen, and as soon as the saw blade touched the wood the blade bounced off the wood and stopped running. Then when I pushed in the start button again, nothing happening, then I noticed smoke coming from the motor. Great product? No... piece of junk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Homeowner Awesome Tool
I purchased this tool to remove some grout on floor tiles in a kitchen remodel and some light work. I found that the uses were far more than I expected. My 7 1/4 saw never saw the project with the SM20 on the job. I removed grout, cut ceramic tile, cut backer board, 5/8" plywood, removed counter top, and 20 other items. This device is portable and powerful, never bogged down even cutting tile. Cut right where you are working, one handed, straight and true.
The only drawback is getting used to the trigger locking device but after an hour or so you get the hang of it. I love this tool. Well done..

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by chestefield Saw is great but blades are useless
Bought this saw to do base and case moulding. Also to do laminate floor. The saw is compact and easy to use. The miter guide works good. My complaint is the lack of life for the multi purpose blades. They don't last. Went through the 2 in the kit on the first day and went through 2 additional blades the next day. Even going slow and letting the blade do the work it has a short life span. And at $20 each this tool will get limited use. Dremel needs to improve or offer a better quality blade. If I were to do it again, I would get a different brand.

Tool is well built and torquy but the shape requires a big hand and takes practice to use. The trigger/safety also is awkward. The concept of the tool is good I just have trouble with it, it needs to be more ambidextrous.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by csmwalker Great Little Saw but....
This is great little saw but, the first thing I broke it out of the box for was to cut an 1/8" thick piece of flat steel using the carborandum cut off wheel, so I changed the blade and started cutting.
The speed of the cut was excellent and much faster than using a 4" or 4 1/2" grinder but, the sparks flying off the cutting wheel started to melt the composite saw base, this was very disappointing and I had to stop using it before it melted too much away beyond the point where I would have to replace it.
Other than that, its a great little saw...
