Rarely do I get to use this tool. If I do, its because I was able to wait on it to charge. This battery just does not hold a charge. A lithium battery would probably help.

I bought this kit less than 6 months ago and the first time I used it, it was great ( except the battery died quickly). This was the only time it worked correctly. Battery won't hold a charge for more than 15 minutes.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Deno1952 Very poor battery life
At first would hold charge 10 to 15 minutes with in 5 usuages it dropped to about 5 minutes. Than it stopped taking a charge at all?
I have had a Dremel Pro with lots of accessories, I have had it for years and it works fantastically. I have used it in some jobs that has put it to its limits and more. And then just clean it up put a new tip and just like new.
It is hard to believe 7.2 volt Dremel is really made by you. Your batteries are very poor. I will be sorry to throw it away and it is almost new

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MTbelieves34 Great tool with a terrible Battery life
Following suit with another review, yes, unfortunately the battery life is terrible. Mine has done slightly better than Mick's (sorry, Mick) in that after a full charge, I only get maybe 30 minutes out of the battery before it dies. Quite frankly, the internal battery on my Norelco razor, and the amount of rechargeable batteries that I use as a whole last longer than this. It is still a great tool, and I'm looking forward to using it on some new projects I'm thinking about, but I'm a little weary about it given the short battery life.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nokick What happened to Dremel's quality?
Shame on me for not doing the research before I spent money on this tool As a gunsmith, I rely on small tools like this for a myriad of tasks. When my 40+ year old corded Dremel gave up the ghost, I, naturally, reached out to Dremel for a replacement and selected this model. Like everyone else making comments, I have had issues with the battery, specifically, short run time and now, after several charges, it will not take a charge.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Taz Doesn't fit original Dremel 7.2 volt.
This battery claims on the package that it fits all Dremel 7.2 volt rotary tools - it doesn't. I have the original Dremel rotary tool, it's almost 15 years old but it has been a great tool and the original battery lasted until now. The original battery was called 757, well the geniuses at Dremel changed the battery pack design but in their wisdom decided to keep the same numbering, 757-1 for this battery which doesn't fit. Yes 757-1 is not compatible with 757 battery. I am disappointed in Dremel, but I love my original 770 Type 1, so I will hack a new battery, there is a youtube how to video...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by docbrad Not compatible with "legacy" Dremel tool
There is no compatibility chart for this battery which is built with a short plug shaft that is incompatible with the previous version of the Dremel Multipro Cordless (770 type 1). Unfortunately (planned obsolescence?) no adapter can be purchased. I am very disappointed that a well made and reliable tool is abandonned by the manufacturer.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lew1 Beware: the battery you will receive is not the one pictured!
I was searching for a battery for an older Dremel model 770 Type 1. The battery I need is No. 757. After a lengthy search, I found this one. It looks exactly like the battery I need. Granted, it is a 757-01. The batteries I received don't look anything like the battery pictured and therefore must be returned. Part my fault, part Home Depot's fault. Put the correct image up, folks.
