Rated 5 out of 5Â by timtsb Versatile & powerful saw!
The Dremel Ultra Saw is the most versatile saw I own. It works on basically everything⦠wood, metal, PVC, drywall, and more. Itâs also good as a grinder. For small jobs this is my new go-to tool, but for big jobs (like cutting a 2x4 or ripping a sheet of plywood) I stick to designated higher power tools such as miter saws and circular saws.
The Ultra Saw is easy to operate, changing blades is quick, and adjusting cutting depth is as simple as it gets. This saw was well designed. And just as you'd expect from Dremel, it's surprisingly powerful (see video).
One thing I love about this tool which Dremel isnât always good about is the included carrying case. My standard Dremel tool and Dremel MultiMax didnât come with one which is a pain because there are so many accessories to keep track of.
Iâm very happy to have this saw in my garage!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jefe Good tool for scoring concrete
I purchased a diamond tile blade and used this to score a 1/8" deep 2' x 2' tile pattern into a concrete slab. The tool is very easy to use. The one problem I had with it was the bone-headed placement of the on-off switch. If you lock the tool in the on position, it is hard to hold the tool without unlocking it / shutting it off. It is natural to wrap your fingers underneath, but that's where the switch is. Other than that, once I got accustomed to holding only the top of the tool, it performed wonderfully well scoring the design. I did not have to use water and the tool did not overheat - plenty of power. I cut about 200' (linear) of scoring over a several hour period of measuring, moving the board, and cutting up against it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Greg Accurate and easy to use
This is a very high quality tool. I was surprised at just how accurate I could be with such a small, handheld saw. The blade depth setting is especially accurate and holds it's position very well. It was so repeatable, in fact, that using it to cut sheetrock would allow me to barely score the bottom paper time and again. Sheetrock, I found, was an excellent application for this saw. I also used it to grind material, cut Masonite and PVC. Overall, a very handy and easy to use tool.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by JoeSeattle A good Multipurpose tool if you don't have a need for the individual tools.
This tool is for you if you need to make a variety of cuts and do not want to pay for individual tools. Dremel does a good job in their ad of showing the scope of what this tool can do. The flush cut wheel leaves an 1/8 gap which may be fine unless you are cutting on a finished floor. I think that is why you see the quarter round added in the video. It may not be an issue for that application.
So far it has worked well for what I need it to do: Cutting rebar, copper water pipe, plunge cuts for repairing drywall, short cuts in 1 inch plywood (3/4 inch actual which is the maximum depth). I wouldn't do long precision cuts without a fence as the wheel is so small it is hard to get a straight cut.
The adjustable depth is a great feature for me since I need to repair doors with veneer. It should work well to cut other veneered surfaces but it may not be as clean an edge as a standard saw blade.
I would like to see a grinder attachment for metal so I could sharpen the mower blade. A bonus is the tile cutting blade. If it works as advertised it will save me the trouble of renting a tile saw for small repairs and the tile mosaic table top I plan to make for the patio.
The tools well built and solid. It is very quick and easy to change blades.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Kouprey Impressive saw but shortage of cutting wheels
I like the saw but unfortunately Home Depot doesn't carry the 3.9" cutting wheels in stores - online orders only which makes for job delays when needing replacements. Also Dremmel only makes the flush cut tile wheels in the smaller diameter for the predecessor tool, the Saw Max, and doesn't make a masonry cutting wheel for either tool, Ultra Saw or Saw Max. Will be nice when other cutting wheel manufacturers start making a good variety of 3.9" wheels for the Ultra Saw especially the flush cut wheels since it's far easier to make accurate cuts with them. Starting accurate cuts using the non flush cut wheels and line-up notch in the tool foot is a bear. Another issue is the attaching a shop vac is only marginally effective.
