Answer:
If the diamond point set is used for this application, the bits may have very limited use. Please also know that the bits are coated with diamond particles that will wear down depending on many factors.

Answer:
The diamond point set unfortunately will not work for this. And anything we have in the Dremel line is going to remove material and mar the surface causing damage to the bead.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied I used the set to engrave initials on my sockets, wrenches, ratchets, and other hand tools. I already had a Dremel tool but not the engraver. Didn't want to buy a separate tool so I went with the diamond point set. The set worked well enough to my satisfaction. Some of the engravings are a bit hard to see unless held in good light. Actually worked better than expected given the hardness of the tools. I used the pointed bit a lot more than the ball. Could have done a better job by concentrating more but I had well over 100 items to initial and didn't want to take all day. I could not tell any degradation after all the use. January 27, 2015
