I've had my multimax for a little over a year. It works well, but the sanding pad wore out on all three corners very fast. When I went to the home center for a replacement, they didn't stock them. I still have plenty of paper, but they won't adhere to the worn out pad.

For the small detail cuts and manipulation needed on just about any construction job or home project, this is the tool for it. I just can't find replacement sanding heads in the stores!!
I'm a contractor, with a BS in construction management and an MBA. I run a contracting company and purchased this for convenience and for some custom closets I was building in my home. I LOVE the sander. This is not intended to be a palm sander or a belt sander, or any other sander. This is for project use and probably not for several hours straight. Yes, after some serious use, the corners are wearing out. But, it still holds the paper to the equipment and still sands and clears off dried glue. If you are a sensitive, demanding priss, this product is not for you. If you take pride in making things with your hands and the convenience and dexterity of this tool and its attachments, it is a great buy. You should consider that all attachments to this tool are replaceable. Just like a saw blade, expect to need replacement parts but expect the same flexibility and convenience each time.

Like all the other reviews, after only an hour or two of use the Velcro system burns out/ melts and the sanding pad becomes detached. Very irritating when you're in the middle of a project.

Part did not hold up. Corners of pad (Velcro) wear out after little use. Going to need about 3 more to finish current project a d more for future projects. This is very costly. Product works good but just doesn't last.

I also found that the glue holding the hooks on the attachment was of poor quality, after a few uses the glue melted leaving half the attachment bare and poor adhesion to new sheets of paper
