Is this grout removal blade suitable for plunge-cutting plaster?

I am going through the Dremel carbide blades pretty quickly. I haven't been able to find a diamond grit blade that is compatible with the Dremel MM45. Has anyone tried using this on plaster?
Asked by: Edmond
We do not recommend this blade to be used on plaster.

Multi-Max 1/8 in. Grout Removal Oscillating Tool Blade is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16.

Not cost effective or functional enough to completely remove grout from start-to-finish. There isn't enough abrasive on it and what there is wears down quickly. However, I did find it acceptable to finish off a grout channel using it to clean off final burs and tidbits of grout left behind once the majority of the grout has been removed. I use a cement cutting disk to remove 90% of the grout first then the Dremel blade for a final buffing. The cutting disk costs about $2 and I can remove grout quickly and easily at a rate of about 2 feet/min. Plus I can do a wet cut which reduces dust. I just did about 50 linear feet with the cutting disk and it's still like new (very cost effective and functional). Remember to take the appropriate safety precautions when using these tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grout Removal Just Got Much Easier! We had some grout that wasn't mixed right, and needs to be removed and replaced. Its the hard polymer-mixed grout, so removing it by hand with a hand tool is a real pain. I ordered a couple of these Dremel blades, and figured it was worth a shot. Oh boy, what a great purchase! They fit on my Dremel oscillating tool, as well as my Rigid JobMax tool. These blades tear into that hard grout like it is loose dirt! My 3-year old granddaughter was so fascinated by it, now she's begging me to let her do it. It really is that easy. I highly recommend these blades to anyone needing to remove grout!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works like a charm I used this grout bit to remove many cracked and missing grout lines all over my tiled floor. I'm 55 years old and didn't want to work hard at removing the grout. It worked great! I would use this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This attachment tool does a fine job of grout removal. The grout removal blade was a correct fit the Multifunction power tool from Harbor freight. As expected, the blade function perfectly well for grout removal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed with performance While this product does the job, it does not last very long. I would estimate that I get about 10 linear feet of use before it starts to dull. What happens is that the edge of the blade loses its abrasive material very fast and stops cutting into the grout so the sides can be effective. In fact I just notice on a new blade that I had installed that I had managed to even flatten the curve of the product after only about 30 minutes of use. I am removing the grout from a bathroom floor and will probably go through 5-6 blades before finishing. I would think that this product could be improved. I have also used the 1/16 carbine blade and get mixed results from it as well.
