Customer Questions & Answers

what does multimax mean?

i have a dremel 300; will this blade work?
Asked by: Anonymous
I'm not familiar with the 300 model: If it is a standard dremel than this series of blades probably WON'T work. "Universal" means universal for all Multimax tools. Many Manufacturers make them now. I suggest you compare how the individual tips are inserted/ installed in your model verses any of the Multimax models. I have had (2) Multi-max tools & without an adapter the blades are not compatible between the 2 models unless you get the "universal style" (new offering) or an adapter. The "Multimax" tools are a multi-Function tool: designed as a bigger better dremel. I use mine for small cutting projects - Especially plunge or extra tight small cuts. The best way to check compatibility is to look up the adapter tool for all the multimax tools & see if you can "Adapt it" to your model.

If you have a Dremel Multi-Max, then this blade will work nicely for light-duty cutting of both soft materials, e.g. wood, wallboard, etc., and light metals such as wallboard trim, metal gutters, etc.

Have used these blades many times when putting down wood flooring or tile when having to trim door casements, etc. Also good for when you are replacing wood soffits that are tucked up under the framing and just want to trim the old soffit material flush to install new Hardiplank soffits. These blades cost a little bit more, but as long as you watch for large nails, will offer you a better bang for your buck.
