Rated 1 out of 5Â by bbent843 terrible blade
Bought this blade to do a receptacle cutout in 1/4" thick porcelain tile. As others have mentioned the carbide coating began to come off in minutes and after 30 minutes of cutting there was only a slight divot in the tile. I needed to do two cutouts but had to stop in the middle of my first. That alone would have taken all day with the dremel.

Bought this blade to flush cut a 1/2" rebar sticking out of my concrete footer. Had some tight working space and didn't want to risk the cut-off saw starting a fire. I was disappointed that after only 5-10 seconds of cutting the carbide coating was flaked off and before I got through the rebar I had even lost some teeth off of the blade itself. I changed over to a non-carbide coated 1.25" blade and finished the job. Overall this blade is not something I would use again. Best results seem to be at mid-speeds with little applied pressure, anything faster and the blade seems to self-destruct.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Bakingmom Multi-Max carbide Flush Cut Blade
The carbide blade cut through 2 galvanized 5/16 inch toilet tank bolts. It actually cut most of the way through and then the bolts bent and had to be snapped off, so the cut was slightly uneven. It doesn't matter in this case because they will be covered with caps. I also liked the size of the blade, since it can make wider and deeper cuts and seems sturdy. However, it does not fit as securely as other Dremel blades. The holes are larger as well as the opening at the bottom. Even though it was well-secured, the blade would get stuck in the bolt while cutting and then slide out of the tool from the top. I never had this happen with any other Dremel blade. As for durability, it wore down a couple of teeth in the middle. Also, the motor of the Multi-Max itself overheated and died after cutting through the second bolt. If I ever get another Multi-Max, I will probably use this blade for larger cuts on softer materials but not on bolts or screws.

I used it for less than 20 minutes on and off on ceramic tiles but the carbide coating came off and blade became dull... was disappointed because I needed to do a cut out and would have been a wonderful tool to do it with... I use my Dremel for everything!
