What it mean ; reconditioned ??

Are you mean ; used , repainted or needed to put new motors in ?? Please explain .
Asked by: charlie
A lot of products are sent back because they didn't want them. Sometimes there isn't anything wrong with the item except that the box was opened. If there is anything wrong, the company goes over it and fixes it. When they get through with it, it's just like new. I have never had a problem with any of the Dremel tools that I have bought.

Reconditioned Saw-Max Corded Tool Kit with Carbide Wheel is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No deal The saw was everything I expected. The only problem was that the blade they sent with it was bent and not usable. With the cost of having to buy new blades I could have bought it brand new

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As new The only difference I see with the recon' unit is that it arrives with no case. Other than that, it is a new one. So if a case for it is not that important to you......don't add the extra cost for one. Unit has a nice long cord (which a big plus for me as I do not like using extension cables) Used it the first time on a half inch thick plywood using the supplied cutting wheel. Worked perfect with good long straight lines. Next was some 3/8 hardwood. Again no problems with the cut. I wanted to cut some small pieces of aluminum but the supplied wheel was not really up to it. Went and bought some cheap diamond wheels and again the unit worked perfect. Easy to use one handed and the 6W gives you more than enough power for the small jobs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs help I bought this product this afternoon and used it to cut a piece of 1/2" gas pipe from one end to the other. I loved the shape and feel of the tool but before I even cut 12" the hot metal flake was melting some of the plastic. By the time I had used six metal cutting blades, the upper guard was melted half way around. Please don't consider this review as a negative. I would gladly pay fifty dollars more for your product if the guard were made of aluminum. I think your product could be one of the best cutting products on the market with a change of materials or install an internal metal shield. Good luck! I returned the product sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish there was an actual wood blade I've been attempting to use this tool for about 6 months now.  I have most of the Dremel tool collection and was thrilled when this one arrived on the market.  I wanted it specifically for flush cutting wood.  I'm finding that the wood blade, that looks more like  a tile blade, makes cuts that are much wider than a regular finish blade and not close to being as clean as a finish blade.  The blades wear quickly, and even after purchasing replacements, they tend to burn the wood black.  Also, when this burning occurs it creates enough smoke to obscure your view so it makes it hard to stay on a line.  I also attempted to use the included guide to make some mitered trim cuts, but the tool did not really work well with the guide; despite clamping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Carpenters helper Bought this to cut through an old plaster wall and have now used it on two kitchen installs. Its perfect for cabinet cutouts for plugs and venting . As a carpenter I was leery of the carbide blade for cutting wood, but it works great. Its the perfect companion for my Dremel Multi Max. I purchased two complete blade kits, thinking that the blades may wear-out quickly , but with two full kitchen renos of plaster removal , flooring alterations and trim modifications with this tool, i'm still on the first blade. With the flush cutting blade i can now cut tight to the back of a cabinet for microwave range hood fan venting , where a jigsaw cannot reach and the Multi max takes too long.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the tool...HATE the blade life The is a very versatile tool but the life of the SM500 wood/plastic cutting blade is ridiculous. I bought this specifically for installing a laminate floor and can barely make 3 cuts before the blade starts smoking and becomes useless. Cleaning the "teeth" with a wire brush may get a few more but not many. My only regrets are that I didn't read the online reviews prior to purchasing and that I didn't return it as soon as I realized the dismal blade life. It is extremely unfortunate because this had the potential to be an outstanding tool but the blade life ruins it. I'll hang on to it with the hopes that a better wood blade is developed but until then it'll be a specialty tool used vary rarely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very user friendly I bought this saw in hopes of finding that one useful but compact tool to do a variety of cutting jobs around the house. And I have finally found that one perfect tool in this powerful little workhorse :) I admit the jobs I have are not cutting through plywood thicker than 3/4 inch but for those times I've needed to make straight cuts without setting up a guide this tool is so easy to use I can do a pretty accurate straight cut with just the pencil marks alone. I am very pleased with what I have accomplished so far. I've cut plywood, 1 x 3's, 1 x 4's, 1 x 10's, acrylic and polycarb sheets and all have been cut with ease. I have built a 5 x 3 x 3 wooden reptile enclosure all with this wonderful little saw and plan on doing more projects now that I have a great tool to work with! I will never regret purchasing the saw-max!
