Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 63 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for detail work on wood carving I have had the Dremel Trio for a couple of years now and love it and last night it carved it's last wooden sign. I have pushed this tool to the extreme over and over with great results. I am on my way now, on Sunday morning to pick up another one. If you need to cut fine straight lines on a flat surface, with maximum control over the tool, the Dremel Trio is what you need. The only accessories I wish the Trio had, is a wider base to span cuts and larger viewing port . Also a better depth adjustment control. August 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best dremil tool I own I bought this tool because I had a gift card. It sat for a couple years. Recently I took it out and found several projects to use it for. It has made many projects easier. It had a great guid used for cutting straight or circles. My only issue is the depth adjustment. It is very hard to make accurate or small adjustments. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Tooling! I was given the 'Trio' a couple years ago and thought it was going to be a larger Dremel-like tool. I used it a few times when I first got it then put it away. I recently needed a tool to finish some trim work and thought it might be of use. I became very disappointed when I started looking for some bits to use on my project. 3/16" shank bits, really? This would have been a great tool if it had the same variety of tooling that is available for the 1/8" shank Dremel or made the collet on the 'Trio' able to accept 1/4" shank tooling. There is a vast array of 1/4" shank accessories that would have worked well with it. I guess I will just have to do more research so I won't get stuck again with a piece of equipment that is so very limited. I feel like I've been stung by what I thought was an upstanding company that wanted to fullfil its consumers needs. August 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Went out after only 3 years I have had it for 3 years and used it maybe 10 times and it went out. The cheap plastic trigger will not make contact to turn it on. July 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Have had this tool for 3 years and have used up the bits it came with, now I can't fine any more to replace them, so it's now completely useless to me! July 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great but inconvenient shaft size The Quality and Value of the tool are great. The case and tool were in great shape arriving. I can't even tell it was reconditioned. The tool works great and as advertised. The reason it got 3 stars instead of 5 is because the shaft size that the tool supports isn't even sold at two of my local home depots. So imagine my surprise when I go to buy some additional bits for the tool only to find that the store not only doesn't sell the same model I just got anymore, but also doesn't sell any bit sizes relevant to the tool. If you're prepared to go find some bits elsewhere or online then this tool is probably a good deal for you. November 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I want it to work! I got this as a gift right before it was discontinued and have just recently had the opportunity to do the woodworking I've long wanted to do. I was enjoying it for this past week (after ordering the Trio router bits - and the instruction manual lists a wrong item number so I had another day's delay) when just now it STOPPED dead in the middle of a routing pass! I want to wake up and have it work - fingers crossed - but I've unplugged, reset, waited for it to cool, made sure other Dremel tool work on the same electrical outlet - nothing. SO SAD!!! Anyone ever experience this and what do I do? April 15, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Why no 3/16 grinding bits? Bought this more than a year ago and have used it sporadically. Had the need to grind the insides of a some metal posts and thought this would work. Wrong. Unlike the rest of the dremel product line, this uses a 3/16" shank rather than 1/8". Could be a good thing if they actually made more attachments that use the 3/16" shank. December 22, 2015
