Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jimmy Great for detail work on wood carving
I have had the Dremel Trio for a couple of years now and love it and last night it carved it's last wooden sign. I have pushed this tool to the extreme over and over with great results. I am on my way now, on Sunday morning to pick up another one. If you need to cut fine straight lines on a flat surface, with maximum control over the tool, the Dremel Trio is what you need.
The only accessories I wish the Trio had, is a wider base to span cuts and larger viewing port . Also a better depth adjustment control.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Monty Best dremil tool I own
I bought this tool because I had a gift card. It sat for a couple years. Recently I took it out and found several projects to use it for. It has made many projects easier.
It had a great guid used for cutting straight or circles.
My only issue is the depth adjustment. It is very hard to make accurate or small adjustments.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TylerQ Great but inconvenient shaft size
The Quality and Value of the tool are great. The case and tool were in great shape arriving. I can't even tell it was reconditioned. The tool works great and as advertised.
The reason it got 3 stars instead of 5 is because the shaft size that the tool supports isn't even sold at two of my local home depots. So imagine my surprise when I go to buy some additional bits for the tool only to find that the store not only doesn't sell the same model I just got anymore, but also doesn't sell any bit sizes relevant to the tool.
If you're prepared to go find some bits elsewhere or online then this tool is probably a good deal for you.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by LBright I want it to work!
I got this as a gift right before it was discontinued and have just recently had the opportunity to do the woodworking I've long wanted to do. I was enjoying it for this past week (after ordering the Trio router bits - and the instruction manual lists a wrong item number so I had another day's delay) when just now it STOPPED dead in the middle of a routing pass! I want to wake up and have it work - fingers crossed - but I've unplugged, reset, waited for it to cool, made sure other Dremel tool work on the same electrical outlet - nothing. SO SAD!!! Anyone ever experience this and what do I do?

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by boydmj Why no 3/16 grinding bits?
Bought this more than a year ago and have used it sporadically. Had the need to grind the insides of a some metal posts and thought this would work. Wrong. Unlike the rest of the dremel product line, this uses a 3/16" shank rather than 1/8". Could be a good thing if they actually made more attachments that use the 3/16" shank.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Yokel Only uses a non-standard shank size
I guess I should have read that this thing only uses a specific shank size before buying other bits for it.
I bought this thing for one project and now it sits, entirely unused as nothing I need works in it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lreign Creative project magic
Every project I tackle this tool saves me so much time. No changing tools. Changing bits is a dream. I can focus on my creation rather than my machinery. And so easy to use, not too heavy either.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Teeruu True to its name: It's still a Dremel!
Despite some not-so-favorable reviews, I opted to give the Dremel Trio a chance. I've had my original Dremel tool for over eight years and it's still working like a champ. That coupled with the crazy price this was being offered at, I couldn't pass it up. It has been almost a month and I have used the Trio on several projects: routing, cutting, and drilling.
My first instinct was to take it a little easy, not wanting to put too much strain on the motor, but then I figured I should see how it performs for real: at that price, if it fails, I haven't lost much. I was VERY pleased. The Trio easily took what I dished out and handled the last board just as easily as it did the first.
My only regret is that I did not buy four more to pass out to my sons for their workshops!
