Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for hobby work This is useful for model work or jobs with small stock. If you have a router table all ready this doesn’t add anything to your workshop, but if you don’t, its ok. The downside is the quality of the dremel router bits. I haven’t seen any carbide bits or ones with guide bearings, so don’t look for super high quality results. January 6, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fast and easy set-up. I wasn't expecting any hassels from dremel and this router table is no exception.I needed to put a fine bead on a small box. Twenty mins. after taking the table out of the box my routering job was complete. Fasten the table to your bench, install the dremel and thats it. Now I'm building decorative small boxes and having fun doing it. February 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Get Dremel creative! I have read many reviews on the Dremel 231 Router Table and most of them were negative either because of the way the table is mounted or because the tool itself moves too much while in use. Rather than rely on other customer reviews I decided to give it a try myself and I have got to say, I was more than impressed with the craftsmanship and functionality of the Dremel 231 Router table! Mounting the table was definitely not as simple as screwing the router table to a piece of MDF board like some of the reviews that I read recommended but being that you are buying Dremel accessories you can expect to have to use a little bit of creativity to get the job done. Besides using a table saw to cut my boards down to size I was able to use nothing but my Dremel and my Dremel Mini Saw to manufacture a custom Dremel Router Table. Check out my pictures and let me know what you think! Cheers to another fantastic Dremel product! January 9, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dremel changed product, didn't change instructions or picture on box Let me emphasize: This is a Dremel issue, not a Home Depot issue. I got the 231 table yesterday and haven't actually used it yet. Like another reviewer, I thought something was missing when I opened the box. The instruction booklet and the picture on the box clearly show a tool holder clamp that clearly wasn't there. Turns out Dremel changed the design of the 231 so that the tool is attached at the top via a large plastic nut. (That's what the wrench in the parts bag is for.) All that would be fine except they didn't bother to change the instruction booklet or the picture on the box AND on their website. It's also the picture on Home Depot's website. As far as I could find, there is nothing on Dremel's website that discusses this change. The only reason I found out about it is a couple of reviews on Amazon. If I were Dremel, I'd be embarrassed to be outsourcing customer support to random reviewers on Amazon, but maybe that's part of their business model. October 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid as a Rock I bough this to make picture frames and I am impressed by the solid feel. Its plastic but when quickly mounted to a 2*4 it is super solid. October 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by top nut verses clamps I find that the new style table with the nut on top holding the dremel tool on is not as sturdy as the clamp style October 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Can't cut a straignt line. I have tried to cut an 1/8 " off a piece of wood and the router bit and Dremel more. the 231 flexes when you apply pressure in feeding the parts. I think it should mane of aluminum. October 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dremel 231 Router Table Very disappointed with the 231. We {A Mens Shed} mounted it securely on a 90 x 45 board. The cut was never consistent as the mounting of the 400 to the 231 was to flexable and even moderate pressure put on the bit would cause flexing of the 400 and then an uneven cut. October 2, 2014
