I use this drill for my jewelry business. The variable speed is great. I can pin point the exact speed for drilling glass or stones. Plus it's easy to assemble and change out the drill bits. I bought the drill press which makes it easy to drill exactly where I want. And I was able to get an extended warranty at very little extra cost. I'm good to go for years to come.

I was able to assemble the drill in less than 20 minutes. Easy to use and several adjustments that can be made to finer tune the drilling. The only compliant I have with it so far is I use the tool to shape holes out a plastic box and I need to be able to move the dremel down and lock it into place once I have it in the right spot. I had to rearrange some parts to get it to stay where I want it. Overall it is a good affordable starter tool for minor drilling and dremel work.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Dremel should be ashamed
This is pure junk. It is mostly plastic with very poor mechanical tolerances. It won't even adjust so the drill bit is vertical. It adjusts to about 87 degrees so don't plan on round or accurately placed holes. This item degrades Dremel's reputation in my book and I'll think twice before buying another Dremel product. The only reason that I rated this at 1 star is because I couldn't give it zero stars. Don't waste your money.

I just used it as a router table. Took a lot longer than with the actual router table, but will suffice until that gets here. This thing can do a LOT.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by metalmaniac Works for us
We purchased 2 of these primarily to use with our Dremel 4000 as a flex shaft. I would not purchase for use as a drill press as there is a lot of play when the Dremel is inserted into the holder. For our main purpose, it works just fine, although I use mine in my metalshop and had to move it off my primary table because when I hammer the metal the top (that holds the Dremel) falls down.

Perfect for those precision jobs. Solid and well constructed, easy to use and very versatile. Great addition to my Dremel collection.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Butch Had to return immediatley, won't drill perpendicular holes, cheap plastic throughout
As the attached photos attempt to show, the swivel head wouldn't go all the way to zero (straight), so could never drill a perpendicular hole. This should be one of the main functions of the workstation. Also there is cheap plastic throughout, which I think won't last long. I have included a photo to show the warpage of the plastic head at the swivel locations. I also question the design of the vertical adjustment lock, as it just drives the end of a screw into the chrome column, which is just going to chew up the column with time. This and other design "features": are very poor. I returned ours after one hour of inspection. I thought Dremel was a respected name and qualtiy manufacturer, but after this I will think twice about buying any more dremel products.
