I use this drill for my jewelry business. The variable speed is great. I can pin point the exact speed for drilling glass or stones. Plus it's easy to assemble and change out the drill bits. I bought the drill press which makes it easy to drill exactly where I want. And I was able to get an extended warranty at very little extra cost. I'm good to go for years to come.

I just used it as a router table. Took a lot longer than with the actual router table, but will suffice until that gets here. This thing can do a LOT.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by metalmaniac Works for us
We purchased 2 of these primarily to use with our Dremel 4000 as a flex shaft. I would not purchase for use as a drill press as there is a lot of play when the Dremel is inserted into the holder. For our main purpose, it works just fine, although I use mine in my metalshop and had to move it off my primary table because when I hammer the metal the top (that holds the Dremel) falls down.

Perfect for those precision jobs. Solid and well constructed, easy to use and very versatile. Great addition to my Dremel collection.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TerryB Great piece of kit, but?
I have been using this for modelling for some time and find it really useful. It is great for holding the drill whilst using the flexible shaft and also for holding a grinding or sanding wheel.
I have a question, though, on the workstation there are 4 slots, do dremel sell something to fit these to hold a workpiece centrally for drilling?
If not can someone recommend something?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Butch Had to return immediatley, won't drill perpendicular holes, cheap plastic throughout
As the attached photos attempt to show, the swivel head wouldn't go all the way to zero (straight), so could never drill a perpendicular hole. This should be one of the main functions of the workstation. Also there is cheap plastic throughout, which I think won't last long. I have included a photo to show the warpage of the plastic head at the swivel locations. I also question the design of the vertical adjustment lock, as it just drives the end of a screw into the chrome column, which is just going to chew up the column with time. This and other design "features": are very poor. I returned ours after one hour of inspection. I thought Dremel was a respected name and qualtiy manufacturer, but after this I will think twice about buying any more dremel products.
