Well, I will start off by saying, that I purchased this little firecracker of a saw yesterday. I began using it today and I was shocked. This thing has a 6amp motor that gives it great power for cutting 2x4s. It absolutely replaced my table saw. The angle cuts are clean. I am currently using it to build a platform for my television. I feel like I can build a deck with this thing. See the pics below for day 1. more coming soon..

When new, this sawblade does an admirable job, slicing through wood quickly with little or no smoking. Unfortunately, it wears quickly. I don't believe it is a good value for the short life-expectancy. These small saws are fantastic for close quarter cuts, and coping cuts for mitre joints. Although I rate it just average, because there are few competitive products, I default to recommending it over a hand saw. Just wish they lasted longer.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dydoe Great Saw, Blades don't last long
I gave the blade a low rating but I would still recommend the saw because I love the convenience of the saw and how easy it is to use. The blades just don't stay sharp for very long. It's fine for real small jobs but if you have a sizeable project, plan on buying 3-5 blades to get it done.

I regularly go through these carbide blades with my dremel. They replace the original carbide blade that came with the saw.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GW1886 Great product till blade replacement
I bought this saw to use in hard to reach areas for notching 1x4 bracing and small cutting jobs. It worked extremely well and had plenty of power to handle any job I tried. However after several days of use, cutting standard 2x4 lumber the blade became dull. Went to purchase a new blade and wow! $25.00 for a replacement blade. I guess they took their cue from printer manufactures. Great little saw for occasional use but to expensive to keep in blades to use all the time. I would not have purchased it if I had known how expensive the blades were.

This blade works reasonably well. It heated up quickly cutting hardwoods. It need cleaning pretty quickly and was difficult to clean (I soaked it in acetone and then used a wire brush). The blade is very overpriced, but they have you because there's no competion.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DremelDenist No Teeth?.......Well, we will see!
Really wouldn't be without my Dremel equipment, so when their 3" Saw-Max came out I had to get one. Now I kind off wish I hadn't because of the extreme cost of the saw blades.
Dremel refers to blades for the Saw-Max as representing their "ADBRASIVE CUTTING TECHNOLOGY", their little 3" saw costs practically as much as a typical 7-1/4" circular saw, and really won't be worth "a plug nickel" if these blades don't yield a really long life.
Well, we will see!
