Answer:
This TR770 is not compatible with the 4000. The router bits for the 4000 are: 612, 615, 617, 618, 640, 650, 652, 654, and 655. There is also a router bit kit #692 that includes 6 router bits (612, 615, 617, 618, 650, 654).

Answer:
No. This particular router bit set is only to be used along with the Dremel Trio tool (model 6800). The letter TR (that is in front of the numbers 770) lets you know that these bits are only for the Trio tool. If you are looking for router bits for the standard rotary tool, you need to find bits that do not have the letter "TR" in front of the product number.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Read compatability carefully! This product was listed as bought with the router stand, the router stand works with a different dremel product than the router bits. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Trio starter bit set I have used the straight cutoff bit for formica and the round over bit for a piece of wood trim. Performance was adequate for a small tool. July 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product met expectations. I have not used all the bits in the kit yet but the ones I have used have given good performance. December 6, 2012
