Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A nice alternative to the faucet mount filters We bought this after our faucet-mounted filter began to leak. The faucet-mounted one was often in our way, so we looked for an alternative. The high price and difficult installations steered us away from traditional undersink filters, but this style was unique. It does require using the hole provided in the sink for a separate sprayer (or drilling a new one). However with many new faucets the sprayer is built-in, so that's not even an issue. Installation was a bit tricky due to the cramped spaces encountered when changing anything related to a sink, but was relatively easy overall. The unit works great and we are really enjoying it! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy Consumer I have a poor immune system and Dupont's 4 stage filter helps better than anything but living on bottled water. Expensive and sucky plastic tasting bottled water!! Had a faucet mount Dupont 4 step for many years. It was always in the way but we lived with it. They were leaky but so is just about every faucet mount sooner or later. This is not. THIS WORKS GREAT. The cons ... 1. It did take someone with a wee bit of experience to get this installed. [We drilled the extra hole on the upper left corner with a step bit] 2. The flow is no where near what you can get out of a faucet unit. 3. I think their "sensor" is time driven which means short filter life. I ignore the red light and will go til it tastes funny. The pros: 1. Gets that behemoth faucet thing out of my kitchen sink. 2. Looks cool. 3. Never have to worry about accidentally sending hot water through it. 4. Uses the same filters as the faucet mount style. If you are considering which model to go with, give this one serious consideration. It is initially a bit harder to install though if you have ever changed out your faucet you have more than enough experience. It was for us, the right purchase, as it used the same filter inserts and I have had one for several years and had a spare cartridge. It fits in our home beautifully, a chrome fountain on demand compared to the clunky chunky faucet mount. Very happy with this purchase. July 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor product Very slow water stream. Other undersink models did not have as much reduced flow. Spout is too close to cold faucet. Best to use with a one handle faucet. cartridge instructions say gallion model faces rear NOT (on 200 model) January 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Purchase Ever The Worst Purchase Ever I did. Terrible leaking water connection. Expensive in use due to short cartridge lifespan. January 6, 2014
