Can this be used for roofing

Asked by: Emet
Not for tile roofing. Set your pressure for composition roofing, because the nail will go thru the seal.

DF225C Pneumatic 0 Degree Coil Siding Nailer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and High Quality Siding Nailer I recently obtained the new Duo-Fast DF225C Pneumatic Siding Nailer. The first thing I noticed out of the box is the light weight and great ergonomics of the tool. Although designed for siding, the DF225C works equally as well on fencing and wood decks. Further details are discussed below. The DF225C weighs only 4.5 lbs. and holds a whopping 300 nails in the coil holder, ranging in length from 1.5 to 2.5 inches. The nails are collated using a 0 degree plastic material and discharges a clean nail when fired. It has an adjustable depth knob and two triggers included, one for sequential fire and another for rapid (bump) firing. It also comes with two non-marring tips to protect delicate surface. The exhaust port is also adjustable for your convenience. The only negative item I have found is the DF225C will sometimes double fire in rapid mode. For that reason, I recommend using the sequential trigger for novice users. Very high quality nailer!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy to use Used this for my fence. Works well, but it does have a tendency of jamming and double firing nails. Overall, this product does work well and easy to use. For the price, I expected more out of this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Even a Woman Can Handle This Nailer I found loading nails into the Duo-Fast trim nailer super easy to do. The proprietary Duo-Fast® “CI” and “CS” series plastic collated round head coil nails fit into the coil magazine perfectly and align, hold and feed the nails through the nailer with no jambs or misfeeds. They vary in length between 1 1/2" - 2 1/2". My brother suggested I purchase these so it wouldn't double strike a nail or jamb up and he was right. I found the no mar tip gripped the material I was fastening and left no scratch or dent. I fastened down some deck boards that I had replaced due to warping and impossible grease stains. Some of the features I was attracted to are: being light weight 4.5 lbs, a comfortable rubber grip - especially if it's chilly outside, the no mar tip and the metal storage hook. This nailer is going to really come in handy when I add onto my privacy fence. Instead of taking hours to screw in screws and drill pilot holes, or swing a hammer all day long, this baby will fasten the boards to the posts & railings in no time flat. I can see a person involved in making a living, doing construction work or roofing work, wanting one of these more than me, because of the time they will save with nailing. Although I may not make a living doing that type of work right now, I still wanted a good quality tool to do the same type of work and I believe I have it now. The instructions are easy to understand and it comes with some oil. Tip: I recommend adding a drop or two of oil each time you use the nailer. Lastly, I wanted a pneumatic nailer because I don't like fighting with extension cords and battery operated nailers don't have the power, in my opinion. P.S. I am going to try this nailer out on some indoor wood remodeling projects too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed siding nailer This siding nailer is well-crafted from metal and some plastic parts. The nail magazine opens wide to accept a supply of coiled nails, and the controls are large, easy to see and use. It has a comfortable grip and construction is simple. I mistakenly fired a nail that was slightly too large for the gun causing a jam in the firing mechanism. I was surprised how simple it was to disassemble the power head from the nail breech and remove the nail. There are very few parts in the entire power head mechanism. The fit and finish of the tool are very good, and it appears to be very durable. The gun can be used for roofing and other applications besides siding. A really nice tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Really Did Nail It !!!!! A great tool from start to finish, Easy loading nails..It's lightweight, has a comfortable grip, The see thru nail reservoir lets you know exactly how many nails you have left. The wide base makes it very stable and if your using it in a kneeling position you can easily push yourself up wth the handle. The nail depth adjustment is extremely easy and the plastic feeding sysem on the coils of nails seemed to feed very well. It also came just in time to add a gate to the backyard, Came in very handy and worked well... this nailer is sturdy and will work well for a long time,,,,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They nailed it The first thing I noticed was the light weight of this nailer, which helps prevent fatigue. Loading a roll of nails is as simple as lifting a latch to expose the nail chamber, placing a roll inside, and latching the start of the roll on to the nail feed pin at the front of the unit. The nailer does not have a depth stop gauge, instead you adjust the pressure of the air from the compressor. I found the nailer to be very simple to operate and did not have one nail jam, double feed, or misfeed. After adjusting my air pressure to match the lumber I was nailing, I found the results to be consistent every time. The Duo Fast DF225C is a lightweight nailer, perfectly designed for fast, continuous, and repeatable results.
