Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kevin Easy to install for a great finished look
We installed this flashing around the edge of our deck. It was easy to unroll, mark with a pencil and cut with a scissors. One side is matte finish, the other glossy. Instead of using siding nails, we also bought 12 foot strips of siding trim and nailed them at the top and bottom edges all the way around, about 10 1/2 inches apart, with the openings facing each other. The top or bottom edge of the flashing slid into one strip, and then the other edge into the other strip, before centering the flashing in between the two. The result looks very finished and has no nails showing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mark A great value, a great product!
I was looking for a simple, cost-effective way to cover the wood portion of my deck in order to match the white vinyl railings I was installing. Using the DuraFlash White Vinyl Deck Flashing together with vinyl J-channel, my deck looks incredible and installation took no time at all. Covering the 2x6's, I was able to cut the flashing in half, taking it from 10" to 5", which made the job even more cost effective. Looks great, cleans up easily, and simple to install. Who could ask for more?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cr0ak I don't have a boat, but...
I absolutely love this stuff. I'm using it for lining my raised veggie garden - to keep the weeds from growing up into the garden bed through the cinder blocks. I had used the galvanized metal flashing but it's so difficult to cut and work with and it isn't anywhere near as flexible as this stuff. This vinyl flashing is just thick enough to do the job, too. On top of that, it'll last many, many years, whereas the metal stuff rusts out after about 10 years or so (I'm sure the metal lasts longer on top of a roof, but buried in soil it has a much shorter lifespan).
I'll be buying more of this, as I'm in the process of expanding my veggie garden. And I'm actually looking forward to it (once the heat subsides a bit). I just wish I had known about this flashing a long time ago!
Thanks, Home Depot, for carrying this product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Exactly what was needed
I was replacing old deck and previous deck had been installed over vinyl siding with header attached on a slant. Needed to remove siding for new header but needed material to seal weather sheeting and slide under remaining siding toro die a good weather seal. Tis material was exactly what was need to easily install and provide that weather protection.

I used this flashing around the bottom of my garage walls. I fastened it to the walls with liquid nails. I like to hose my garage out and the flashing keeps the water off the walls.

This is prob great for deck flashing but the product says it can be used for window and door flashing...i think it was a little thin and flimsy for that
