DuraPlus is designed to stay cool on the outside, provide a hot draft on the inside, boost stove efficiency, and provide for a fire-safe design that protects both the chimney and the building. This triple-wall chimney features two insulating layers (ceramic blanket, plus air space). The ceramic blanket insulation is held securely in position, eliminating hot spots common with loose-fill type insulations. In the event of a creosote fire, the compressible blanket insulation permits the chimney liner to expand outwardly in a radial direction. Designed for normal, continuous operation at 1000 degree F flue gas temperatures, DuraPlus is subjected to rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400 degrees F, plus three ten minute chimney fire tests at 2100 degrees F.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vaulted ceiling vent kit Have a vaulted ceiling and this kit had all the parts to install the triple wall pipe through the roof. Bought some of the pipe through Amazon and Home Depot. Getting the pipe and stove aligned is a little tricky, but with a plumb bob was able to manage it. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As advertised and good kit This kit is a comprehensive system to install through your ceiling. There were some extra parts that I did not need because I also purchased the Duraplus single wall stove pipe and chimney sections, so it all fit together without any adaptors. I installed all the pieces below the roof and I had my roofer install the chimney sections and roof parts. Mainly because I didn't want to mess with it and if there was to be a leak then I get to call them and make them come fix it. Also, i now have proof that it was professionally installed so my insurance company was also satisfied. I was present and lent a hand in the full install and it was as simple as it gets. As quality goes this was exactly what I expected for sheet metal gauge and fabrication quality. TAKE THE TIME AND READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS!!!! Follow the install instructions to the letter this will minimize any chance of system failure. December 10, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Not suitable for wood stoves The stovepipe materials are flimsy and poorly packed. Several of the parts arrived damaged and required repair. Although the instructions were useless, after watching a couple of third party installation videos, we got the unit installed. Now for the not suitable for wood stove part - three weeks after installing a new wood stove and stovepipe, the chimney suddenly stopped drawing, and smoke started billowing into the house. The reason was that despite a good draw, burning seasoned firewood, and keeping good exhaust temperatures, the spark arrestor was completely blocked with creosote. The spark arrestor is constructed of fairly light gauge stainless, and wire mesh with about 1/2" spacing. Once the temperatures dropped into the 20s, it cooled too quickly, and became a creosote condenser. This wouldn't be an issue with a gas stove or fireplace, but it's pretty much guaranteed to happen if you're burning wood, and have below freezing temperatures. December 2, 2014
