It arrived in one piece however there was no manual in the box so thankfully I already knew how these worked, which is simple. Two buttons one for power, one for heat, an adjustable thermostat, and a knob to work the fake fire intensity. (The one I had before actually let you turn off the flame which I liked, no wasted energy). It seems efficient in raising the temperature in a large room a few degrees, and it is quiet enough not to be bothersome. It's also lightweight enough to move around the room.
All in all it seems worth the price. Hopefully I won't have to use it every night like last winter.

I originally purchased the stove for aesthetic value for my 35' fifth wheel to discover that not only does it give the look of a "real fire" but also provides the heat of a real fire. The stove provides a wonderful atmosphere when the light is on (not necessary to have the heat on to have the atmosphere), and also provides enough heat to adequately warm the entire camper! I also purchased a brick backdrop and now I don't miss the fireplace in the house anymore.
The stove is also pretty quiet. I read several reviews from folks thinking the fan is a bit noisy. I have not found this to be so.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing warmth and/or desiring the look and feel of a warm fire.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jimmyjj9 So far so good
Just had this delivered, and set it up. You have to attach the legs, 1 screw per leg which is not difficult. The power cord is on ly 6' long, and of course where I needed it, the power outlet was just out of reach. I purchased an 8ft extension cord rated at 15amp and am using that. Although they say not to use any extension cord or power strip, I dont think it will be an issue, since I will only use it every once in a while and turn it off when done.
The overall quality is very good, its sturdy, the top stays cool, so you can actually place something on it if you like. The door swings open to reveal the controls and is very sturdy. I like this unit because you can use the flame and heat together, or just the flame. It heated up my basement den which is a room about 20x12 feet with no problem. It gets cold down there in the winter. There are simular units out there that cost $199, this unit does the exact same thing for $70 cheaper. It does not have a remote. The luminating flame looks nice with the lights low and the TV on. So far, I am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tess Great Product!
We recently moved into a very drafty house, and it's been in the negatives for weeks now! We are in our great room most of the day and just needed an extra boost because this old house uses fuel oil for heat, which is very expensive. I figured zone heating would be cheaper. I bought this product after much research and was a bit hesitant when I read all the reviews about how noisy it was. The product was delivered today, my five year old helped me screw the legs on, it's THAT easy! I am shocked that the noise of the fan bothered anyone. It's not much louder than the fan on my PS3 or a computer. The heat it produces is fantastic, my feet are no longer cold! It's a great product, and I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by craftymomma Great little fireplace for the $$
I was skeptical about this fireplace because of the cost (or should I say the low cost) but, I read some other reviews and decided to give it a shot. This was a present for my (very picky) husband who wanted a "fireplace" in his basement home office. I had looked at the ones that looked like fireplaces and wasn't impressed with the quality. This one is easy to set up (just attach the legs) and works like a charm. His office is only 12 x 12 and this little thing keeps it toasty warm - would do a good job on a bigger space too. It's well made and does everything it claims to. My only negative is that it is little. I saw the dimensions but never really used a tape measure to see just how big (or little) this would be. I was surprised when we took it out. That's no fault of the product though!
