Does this unit make a clicking sound when heat turns on/off?

Does this unit make a clicking sound when heat turns on/off, or is it completely silent? I want to use it while sleeping.
Asked by: zzoes
Yes, it does. Most of these radiator type heaters seem to make the thermostat clicking sound.

600-Watt Convection Electric Oil-Filled Radiant Portable Heater is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great supplement to forced air heating I have owned this heater for about 3 years. It is an attractive, quality product that is well made. With 600, 900 and 1500 watts it does the job well. The heater features a three position heat selector knob including the on/off switch and a separate variable thermostat, which is very handy. A 6 foot power cord eliminates having to use an extension cord. I use it either around a forced air return duct or in front of a heater duct (to circulate the pre-heated air). I have saved approximately 22 percent on my home heating bills by supplementing the fan forced whole house heater with the Duraflame electric radiator heater and, of course, doing my best to be "heat smart".

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice little heater this was what I was looking for to knock the chill off in my family room located in my basement. simple to use. 3 units will take the chill off a 800+ area. they are reasonably priced and have a simple nice looking design. look like small radiators. I do wish they came in lighter colors. only had black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, it is 1500 watts! Great heater for the price. I bought 2 of them. Works well, but takes a while to heat the room, which is normal for a radiator heater. There is an error on the listing stating it is only 600 watts. The box it comes in clearly states it is 1500 watts. Great and affordable purchase. The box states it is made in China. Just thought I would mention that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heater for the price! Very easy to put together and it heats very well. My basement office ended up being the warmest room in the house this winter!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Duraflame heater was mediocre at best This heater takes longer to bring to full heat. About 10 minutes. Too long for an electric heater. The output at 600 watts is a joke. At 900 watts it does Okay. The thermostat was good, I could hear it go on and off. Overall the Delongi I had before heated better but it didn't have as good a thermostat. The Delongi also was a 700,800, and 1500 settings much better settings and heated up faster. JW Deland, Florida (winter use only)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as other brand I have two other heaters of this style by Pelonis that actually put out heat on low and high settings. This piece of junk does neither. The other heaters keep the chill off a room at night and keep the main heater (gas) from cycling more. This device barely throws any heat, in any setting, even if you are right next to it. Don't waste your money. It would have gone back for a refund if I hadn't recycled the box it came in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worth the cost Was fairly easy to assemble but could not assemble per directions because heater arrived at my home with a bent fin. Did not want to attempt to bend back so moved rear wheels forward one fin. In 1500 watt mode and heat setting turned all the way up you can hear the oil boiling in the unit. Turning it down a bit resolves this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We exchanged it after 1 week of use. If you don't have ceiling fans or some other way of moving air in the room you are heating, this item will not work for you. We used it in a 250 sq ft office and the only area that was heating up was about 8 feet around the unit.
