Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very Easy To Operate
We both like a cool house during the day and in the evening we both like sitting in a warm room while watching the news. Does not take long to get our livingroom warm and comfortable for both of us. We no longer have to bring up the temperature in the whole house for when we sit. And the bedroom stays cool for a good nights sleep. In the morning, if it is really cold outside, just turn it on and the room we have coffee in is toasty. We purchased one, just to try and ended up getting another one for our camp and the neighbor ended up getting one after visiting us.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathy This heater is great for any home
I had bought a similar heater and returned it within 24 hours because the fan was too loud and noisy.
This heater has a beautiful wood cabinet enclosure, is quiet and keeps the room at a comfortable warmth.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charles Excellent product!!!
Have wanted one of these type heaters for years just never wanted to spend the money. I had always talked about the Eden Pure or the Amish heater we always see in the newspaper. After doing extensive research (Independent websites and customer reviews) I was lead to the Duraflame. I was hesitant at first but then I decided to trust my research (has never failed me in the past). I am very pleased that I did. We have it in a 500 square foot room that never gets real warm when it is below freezing outside. The temp on the heater doesn't hardly get above 67 degrees F, but it sure feels warmer. My wife loves it! That is what is really important!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ggrant The only heater to buy!
This was one of the best investments I have ever made. Don't waste your money on a cheaper heater to try and heat a large area. Spend more money and buy a infrared quartz heater... It heats my entire apartment which is over 1100 square feet. I use to buy cheaper heaters but they only last one winter and sometimes even shorter. I love the comfort and how fast it takes the dampness out of the air!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loubelle48 Just what the doctor ordered
I suffer from Raynaud's, and the doctor advised us to keep our thermostat in the low 70's in the winter. We have a large home, but spend most of our time in the kitchen/great room during the day. We set our thermostat at 68, then run this heater at 70 in the great room. The thermostat is in the hall off the great room, so the heater fools it into thinking it's 70 and it doesn't run. I'm comfy and warm in the great room, while the bedrooms stay cooler - just how we like it for sleeping. I'm sure we're saving money by running this instead of the heat pump, but in any case, my fingers and toes are very happy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rose Exactly what we were looking for
Purchased to provide supplemental heat to approximately 700 sq ft great room and kitchen in a south facing finished walk out in central MN. We have central heat, but the thermostat is on the main floor of a three story home--for it to be comfortable on the main and upper floor it is about 62-65 in the lower level which is great for sleeping but not for sitting around. We have purchased and tried just about everything but kerosene space heaters and none were large enough for the space, the outside housing got wicked hot, were REALLY noisy, and the worst was that they seemed to run constantly.
This arrived today and we tried it immediately. It is totally silent, entirely cool housing (how DO they do that?), cycles on and off, has a digital thermostat so we can see that in addition to the cycling on and off it IS heating. Room is comfortable to sit and watch tv and seems to be heated evenly throughout the huge room. The others only heated in a small radius of the units. This unit is heavy, but is on casters that are awesome! We have deep pile carpet and it rolls effortlessly.
I have two complaints and they are small enough that they do not affect the rating. First, it is not my style at all. The wood grain, stain color and moulding is a bit more "homey" that we like, we prefer something a bit more contemporary and maple, birch, etc. This is very "oaky" and more traditional, but we bought it for the function more than anything. The second is that while it has a timer you can set to automatically shut off after so many hours, I wish it had one that would be an auto on feature so we could set it to start 30 mn before we plan on coming home or getting up in the morning. QVC, HSN or ShopNBC had one that did that, but it had terrible ratings.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Montana Nice product, but not the heat output hoped for
Product is nice and works as it should. Delivered on time. The heat output is just not as much as you would hope for. I don't see how it heats 1000 sq. feet. My living room is less than that and this little guy can't get it above 62 degrees. When i put it in the bedroom (14' by 14') and close the door, it can get the bedroom to 72 degrees. If you need it for a small, contained room, then it is a good product. If you need it for a larger, open room then it probably will leave you disappointed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SuzK1 Well worth the money!
The heater was ready to go right out of the box, works flawlessly, and is a great looking piece of furniture. It definitely fullfills the promise of warming up to 1000 sq.ft.(our dining, living and kitchen area is all open and probably exceeds 1000 sq. ft, but the entire area feels much warmer. Of course it most likely helps that our house is well-insulated and sealed.)
